The gun issue will work itself out once that's done.

Why Marijuana is illegal - Joe Rogan - YouTube
I like Joes Rogan speech and history then he explains that pot is only illegal because of Beer, Booze, and Big-pharm lobbying against it and that it is a way to keep the run for profit prisons to continue to turn out massive profits with a pot charge where a joint or two gets people locked away for 4 years and a criminal record.

I mean it is causing the cartel wars to have firefights that end up across the boarder an rounds hitting peoples houses and it is out of control and the border patrol agents come under attack and Mexico and need some serious up-armoured APC's to patrol since they encounter .50cal fire Mexico is losing control of their country to the point that the government/police and military are fighting a Cartel military that is just as well armed and in some cases better armed and has control of whole cities and towns that Mexico has lost to the cartels.

I mean Los Zetas is has former military and police forces that we trained to fight the cartels now training them in counter insurgency and giving away tactical and ways information on the Mexican government which also has alot of officials bribed and working on the cartels side.

I mean heck as a Canadian looking at the Mexico/U.S. border and thinking that both the U.S. and Canada have a lot of Military hardware like tanks, Helicopter gunships, and highly trained and troops that did a bunch of tours in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban and well make some drugs legal tax them and fire up some of those Abrahams and we will send down a massive amount of Up-Armored LAVIII and leopard 2A6 main battle tanks, Chinooks helicopters and a lot of combat veteran troops CF-18 Hornets

So lets legalize drugs use the money we save on paying for people with a bit of pot in prison, the Police can focuses on other problems instead of being tied up looking for a pot plants, and DEA Drug Raids and CIA ops to try and stop some drug cartel but rather send in American and Canadian troops is Mexico asks or will let us and go push the cartel's out and use the drug money we find to pay for the cost to train and build up infrastructure in the areas we go and restore order and control and use left over money to help pay for our military to help out.

I mean win hearts and minds on a country we are in NAFTA in and are able to help end the problem and save money and take out the cartels and have a country actually thank us for helping them out that we trade with and one that is close enough that we are dog nothing when we should be helping Mexico out.

U.S. Guns Behind Cartel Killings in Mexico
What they say about all these guns coming from the U.S.A is false. Just using common sense can make you realize this. That, and if you know about weapons you can know by seeing the photos of them that they didn't come from CIVILIAN SOURCES within the U.S.A.

Do a google search on photos for "confiscated weapons in Mexico from drug cartels" and you'll see most weapons are clearly black market guns from the cold war and from 3rd world countries that orginated from the U.S.A, Russian and Chinese government. You can't buy a RPG is a civilian gunstore in the U.S.A so WHERE ARE THEY GETTING THOSE FROM?

Let's see, a AR-15 costs $1000 in the U.S.A but a real M16 untraceable sold by the U.S.A government can be had for $200 or $300 from South America when America supplied weapons to fight communists. A AK-47 sold by Russia during the revolutions in South America or Africa can be had $20 to $50 but a copy of a AK in a American gunstore costs $600 or more. So WHY would a cartel buy them from a U.S.A civilian source?

Governments create a black market for drugs, create a black market for their guns, then lie saying a American civilian should be banned because of the violence that comes. Governments, American Russian and Chinese are the biggest cartels, gangs and pimps of them all.

Every Mexican soldier that defected to a cartel took is American sold M16 with him, he didn't get it from a gunshow.

For some reason, the right-wingers are no longer harping about "Fast and Furious!"
Yep. Our arms support the worlds thugs and goons. That's freedom.

Hello: For many decades the federal form 4473 has been used to register every gun sold through FFL dealers. in the U.S.A.. Since the 60s mail order guns have been outlawed. In Calif. the sale of guns at gun shows are the same as any dealer. The 4473 form must register the gun and a waiting period of 10 days has been the law since the 80s. We also have dept. of justice back ground checks. A ATF whistle blower started the Fast and Furious hearings. My M-14 target rifle used for dept. of civilian marksmanship contests has been declared an assault rifle and band in Calif.because it has a flash suppressor. I do not hunt, the type of rifle I like has never been used in a crime in Calif., but it is outlawed because of the way it looks. Lead bullets are now outlawed, gun stock oil is soon to be outlawed and gun cleaners liquids may be next. As a citizen I believe in the law and will comply, but anti gun people should consider doing some fact checking once in a while. That is All
