At least in our lifetime. Politically it's not feasible. Any politician that attempts to ban guns is done on the national level. In 80 years, who knows??

Sorry, having to wait 72 hours to buy a gun does not equal confiscating your guns or banning guns.

If there is a ban, the guns that are out there now will likely be grandfathered.. Only new sales will come into play.. At least that is my thought.

At this point, I don't question that... I never really have. No politician is going to commit political suicide.

I would have to say that you haven't managed to read all the threads by leaners that say that many politicians promise to enter bills to at least limit the sale more than now. Of course, you may be intelligent enough to see that they are just talking to their choir and won't do much about it.

You believe everything you read on the internets Roy??

In the future I plan on buying a cabin in the mountains, and you bet I'm being me a shotgun.

Tell that to the people in Guntersville, Alabama. Look it up, and see what the Mayor is proposing!

Or ab-174 in California. Would take away all guns that have been grandfather in with previous legislation. Oh look, confiscation. Maybe I'm just being paranoid though

AB 174, as introduced, Bonta. Weapons: grandfather clauses.
Existing law prohibits the possession of various weapons. Under existing law, certain of these bans exempted from their scope weapons that were possessed prior to the ban, if prescribed conditions met, are authorized.
This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to subsequently amend this bill to include provisions that would end all of those exemptions.

When is the o.p. going to recognize that most sensible people are not going to trust lying politicians or anonymous Internet posters where their rights are concerned?
