Many people who get abortions are religious so why are you putting them down when they want to go get help? No one is forced to go to these retreats. They go because they can't live with the quilt and or mental problems it has caused.

It seems you are judging people on why they would want go to them. Not nice and you preach tolerance.

The "guilt" and "mental problems" abortion might "cause" are strictly the result of being approached by people like you, who dedicate their entire lifetime to instilling guilt on women who are considering abortion, those who have had abortions, those who are in favor of abortions, those who work for the right of women to abort, and those who help women who wish to get abortions. "Pro-lifers" are official guilt-givers. If a woman has no guilt from having had an abortion, well by golly, you'll make darn sure she does, won't you?

If they would only learn to mind their own business, take care of their own problems, such as maybe doing something constructive about divorce first. We do not need anymore children as it is, the tread before this one is about the world population, it is increasing as I am typing, is there really any need for more women having more births? Birth control, including the option of abortion, should be only a womans choice, with no guilt involved, no protesters calling them evil at the abortion clinics, it is their bodies, their choice alone. Don't want an abortion, don't get one, but they should leave other women alone. If they are so worried about babies, adopt some, take a load off of the foster care and adoption centers, make room for all the other unwanted children that will be born in the future. Not every pregnancy results in a desired or wanted child.

Default You can believe no woman suffers after an abortion but that isn't helping her.

Through individual counseling and group therapy sessions, Dr. Burke has devoted the last 18 years to the research and treatment of women struggling with post-abortion issues. Many of the women she treated came to her because other therapists refused to believe that an abortion could cause significant trauma. Other women came to her because their family and friends failed to understand the reality of their pain and suffering.

In Forbidden Grief, Dr. Burke explains the importance of listening to those who are struggling with past abortions, and suggests ways we can create a more understanding and healing society, where women will no longer be required to hide their pain.

A Crash Course in Trauma and Introduction to Rachel's Vineyard - YouTube

Many women who have had abortions don't want to talk about it anymore or to shut down others who talk about it. That is a symptom.

More women should get abortions. You aren't a real women until you have had at least one.

I don't think anyone has said women never have emotional repurcussions from abortion, of course they do. They also have emotional repurcussions when they give their children up for adoption.

They can have postpartum when they keep their kids too.
