-It was the Repub State House, Senate, & gov. in Virginia that enacted the law that forced women to have a intrusive, unnecessary vaginal probe which they had to pay for if they wanted an abortion. When the Dems took over all three, they repealed that law.

-Republican Gov. Rick Perry said that his goal was to make abortion "a thing of the past".

-Repub states ban private insurance companies from covering abortion.

The list goes on & on.

That is exactly what the Democratic Party does - they insult the intelligence and maturity of women and treat them as a monolithic group rather than the individuals worthy of respect that they are.

Women are coming to this realization and joining the GOP.

Think - if the Democrats thought that they had the solid support of women, then there would be no need for them to invent this mythical "war".

The fact is that the Dems are scared and they are furiously scrambling to stop the exodus before November.

The mythical war on women does not exist.

It is an invention of the Democratic Party and is an example of their reliance on divisiveness rather than substantive debate on issues.

Democrat's engage in these polarizing tactics because (a) they can't win on their own record because their policies never work, (b)they are ideologically bankrupt, and (c) they think that the average Democrat voter is stupid, and often this is proven to be true.

One of their ploys is to declare something a "right" for a particular demographic and then attack anyone who disagrees as a "hater" of that group.

Thus, Democrats try to avoid any serious debate on for example, abortion or wages by demonizing anyone who doesn't believe that destruction of human life is good or that people should independently negotiate their own payment for services rendered.

Harrier has already addressed two of the most common "rights" that you probably mistakenly think are "under attack".

What else do you got?

Prove that you even have the slightest clue what you are talking about.
Here's an issue in the great state of Texas about women and students. Your great conservative bastion:

It may be make believe to you if you fail to realize what your republican cronies are doing. Just close your eyes and pretend like it isn't an issue.

Oh yeah, here's more stuff on attempts to reduce women's rights in this country.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/20/op...real.html?_r=0

Here's one from Foxnews, even THEY realize there is a war on women.

Yes, there is a Republican war on women voters | Fox News

Here's an excerpt from that story on fox news.

Republicans in Virginia proposed a law that would require women seeking abortions, even those resulting from rape or incest, to first submit to mandatory trans-vaginal ultrasounds -- a further invasion of their bodies.
And Republicans in Texas pushed through a law defunding Planned Parenthood clinics in the state, cutting off at least 60,000 low-income women from their health care providers.

Please tell me that there is not a war on women's rights now.

Here is an excerpt from the story on the restrictive voter ID laws in Texas and how they are affecting women. If you can't see this, then God help you.

Texas' Voter ID Law Creates A Problem For Some Women : NPR

In 2012 a federal court struck down Texas' ID law, ruling it would potentially disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of minority voters.
But that federal decision was invalidated when the Supreme Court last year ruled part of the Voting Rights Act unconstitutional. So now Texas is test-driving its voter ID law — one of the most restrictive voter ID laws in the nation.
Texas judges are accustomed to a certain level of respect, even deference as they go about their daily business in the Lone Star State. So imagine Judge Sandra Watts' surprise when she went to cast her vote last week and was told there was a problem.
"What I have used for voter registration and identification for the last 52 years was not sufficient yesterday when I went to vote," Watts says.
Why? Because Watts' name on her driver's license lists her maiden name as her middle name. But on the state voting rolls, her given middle name is there, and that's difference enough to cause a problem.
"This is the first time I have ever had a problem voting," she says. "And so why would I want to vote provisional ballot when I've been voting regular ballot for the last 49 years?"

I find it disconcerting how conservatives take everything progressives try to to to protect women, minorities, etc., and declare it's because we think they're stupid.

That's just not true. We don't think they're stupid, or need to be helped to do everything. What we do believe is that they are vulnerable in our society because of the actions of some people, and they deserve our protection from those actions.

Thank you in advance for considering my post. Democrats everywhere appreciate it when the right refrains from putting words in our mouths, or mischaracterizing our beliefs.

Default liberal media bias by omission

Wife Beating Democrat Congressman asks for annulment, accuses wife of bigamy in new court documents

HuffPo Fails to Mention That CEO Convicted in Brutal Domestic Beating a Major Democrat Donor
Have you noticed how the mainstream media is hiding the fact the CEO of a big tech firm who was convicted of brutally beating his girlfriend was also a major Republican donor? If you are scratching your heads in disbelief, you have every right to do so. You know for sure that if such a thing took place, the very first paragraph if not the headline would have declared him to be a Republican donor. The reverse is actually true. We googled the name of the convicted domestic beater, Gurbaksh Chahal, and "Democrat" and came up with just three center-right outlets in the results.

Among those both then and now ignoring the fact that the convicted domestic beater, Gurbaksh Chahal, was a major Democrat donor to the tune of over $108,000 was the Huffington Post.
