Online ‘hottest girls’ contest upsets Eastside schools | Local News | The Seattle Times

Anonymous promoters of May Madness at Issaquah High have once again posted on a Facebook page 64 yearbook-style photos of girls for one-on-one matchups in brackets patterned after sports tournaments. A girl’s name can be entered in or withheld from the contest without her permission.
Administrators have tried, without success, to find out who’s behind this year’s competition, but students have gotten more tech-savvy and stayed one step ahead of the school, Issaquah School District spokeswoman Sara Niegowski said.
I can't say that I would be a fan of a contest like this, but even more pathetic are the efforts to quash it. We had the homecoming queen vote back in the day, and IIRC nobody died. Girls who had no chance of being homecoming queen got plenty of boyfriends and went on to normal lives.

This should be a poll thread:

Which group is more in need of a life?

A. The Kids
B. The School

As adults are we not to care about our kids......yet you probably agree with the "It takes a Village"

If you read the article adults and the school are concerned, bullying has happened, isn't this what some are trying to stop in our schools?

Amazing how adults forget that they were once dumb, shallow and immature kids at one time too.

Yes it does. Liberals need to mind their own business and leave people alone.

It sounds like there are some so-called adults with way too much free time on their hands.
