I don't see the big deal. Sounds like a win-win. They pay up to a thousand dollars to a mentally handicapped person to spend the day riding fun park rides with another family.
lol. really, it's not that big of a deal. No different than belting in a blowup doll for the car pool lane.

The woman must have inherited the money because she sounds like a horrible business person.
Cheaper to just offer people in line $10 to take their place.
I totally agree..my dad was disabled near the end of his life and I was always disgusted by the dirtbags that would park in handicapped only parking spots and then RUN into a store...if the article is true,I would hope they pay for it one day.
Most of the people I see use them spaces are perfectly healthy people. I don't use them as a habit but if I cannot find no other parking around I will use them and I don't feel bad about it either.
"Disney World is looking into reports that some wealthy visitors are hiring disabled people to pretend to be family members so that they can skip lines...
"The black-market Disney guides run $130 an hour, or $1,040 for an eight-hour day," the report said."
Now this I found quite interesting. Yes, personally I could care less. Rich people are always going to get more then I have and find ways around the system. This is real life and I believe people should just learn to live with it, instead of getting their panties in a wad and trying to even the playing field.
No people should not "just live with it". There are systems in this country that apply to everybody and people should insist they be applied equally. The filthy rich can afford to take their snot nosed kids to Disney for a whole damn week or 2 weeks if they want. The regular working man, if he can afford to go to Disney at all, can probably afford a 2 day ticket at best. So if anybody should cut the line it ought to be the regular working man.

As long as the working man pays then s/he can do the same thing wealthier people can do. I'm surprised the family in question paid somebody to stand in line when they didn't even have to pay a dime. Or, perhaps I'm reading the website incorrectly. I know that amusement parks have similar programs for a fee.
