CHARLOTTE, NC (WNCN) - A North Carolina mother had her son arrested for allegedly stealing her Pop-Tarts.
According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report, the mother called authorities and reported her Pop-Tarts were stolen by her juvenile son.
Officers arrested the son and charged him with misdemeanor larceny.
Hmm. Kind of a stupid reason to have their own child arrested. I've eaten things from the fridge that weren't mine. I felt bad about it yes and my family had a problem with it but no one called the police.
Reminds me of a crime that happened 20 years ago or so.. a woman in the neighborhood told me someone broke into her home and left half eaten pop tarts around the house and took nothing else...
I wonder if they dusted for fingerprints on what was left of the pop tarts?
Maybe this kids mom did it. Pop tart crime sprees tend to run in the family. Hopefully they preserved the pop tart as evidence. Try givimg the cops a call, there maybe a reward.
What a great idea! Now, why didn't I think about that when my kids ate me out of house and home?!
That brings back memories. I used to come home to cook dinner and find my daughter had already fed it to her teen friends. We finally came to a compromise. I put my dinner food in a grocery bag in the fridge and she was not allowed to touch it. I never thought of having her arrested. Teens eat a lot.
