They'll get adults okayed eventually. If there's anything we've learned with the gay agenda, they keep pushing and pushing and pushing. The media will help them keep on the pressure too. So they'll get what they want in the end, one way or another.
I think "eventually" is a long ways down the road. Scouting is so entwined with religious organizations that it is going to take a literal leap of faith before gays will be fully accepted.
Will they replace "morally straight" with "morally straight (or gay)" or perhaps "morally nuanced" in the oath?
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
They don't even need to at this point. Anyone who ever says anything not positive of homosexuality is blasted and bashed for it by the media. If you have any view other than positive, you basically have to shut up or you get annihilated for it.
Much like if anyone has a negative view of blacks or Jews they would get blasted.
"Few, if any, are suggesting the Boy Scouts kick out boys based on their
particular temptations. We don't, and shouldn't do that in our churches, much
less in the Scouts," Moore told Baptist Press. "But this change is more than
this. It doesn't speak in terms of temptations but in terms of the claiming of
a sexually politicized identity as morally neutral."
What does that even mean? Either they do and will accept gay scouts or they won't. What this paragraph should read is "We realize we are on the wrong side of history, but we don't care. We would publicly flog all gays if it didn't land us in hot water."
No one cares about a stupidly biased baptist source.
Hey, if calling me makes me a bigot prevents someone's kid from getting "rear-ended" at a young age, it's a price I'm willing to pay. No new dances around the campfire, no new conflicts in their lives.
We need some new signs of "No Barney's Frank n' Beans" with the red line through it asap. You can always take your kid to a nudist beach if you feel so inclined to expose him to the male/shemale genitalia you know. That way, you can be the first parent/angry conflicted on your block to brag about how you enlightened your kids loafers. That's your call.
As for the 90% of the rest of us. No thanks. I have no desire to pry our kids away from anything let alone "Adam and Steve". Sooner or later Fiero, someone has to draw the line. We chose your new "right of conflicted passage" for just that.

And then the sky will fall, the world will end and you head will asplode.
