The wealthiest 1 percent of the global population now owns 39 percent of all the wealth on the planet.

So exactly who are the top one percent?

The global elite are absolutely obsessed with power and control and they have been working to implement their agenda for a very long time. In the end, they hope to unite the entire planet under a monolithic global system that they control.

They are actually quite open about this - it is just that most people do not want to believe it.

The gap between the wealthy and the poor is rapidly growing in the United States as well.

Sadly, this means that the middle class is steadily disappearing as the ranks of those that are living in poverty continues to increase.

But of course not everyone is doing badly in the U.S. right now. In fact, those that own stocks have had lots of reasons to celebrate in recent months.

So who owns stocks?

Well, the wealthy do of course. In fact, approximately 60 percent of all individually held stocks are owned by the top 5 percent of all Americans.

Do you really think that the top 1% are either democrats or republicans? They are neither and both as long as whatever party in power does their bidding. Only those on the the other part of the 1% actually bicker over political parties. It is nothing more than a distraction from what is really going on in the world.

Are you referring to the DEMOCRATS? Just exactly HOW did they do that? By having people start paying payroll taxes again after a hiatus? You know, those taxes that fund your social security and medicare when you get old, and that you get back?

I'm so sick of the "right" vs. "left" crap that comes out of some of you. The truth is that we do have a problem with the way that we structure taxes in this country. We tax corporations at a higher rate than almost any other country, but then the very biggest companies have access to loopholes and tax avoidance strategies that let them pay nothing, while small business gets a knife to the ribs. We give pork and tax breaks to companies that hire offshore, but do nothing to help the small business owners in this country who really are creating jobs. The more money you earn in personal income, even though you might officially be at a higher marginal tax rate, the more likely it is that you actually pay much much less because of lower taxes on investment income and on deductions and write offs not available to the rest of us. It's an insane system and it needs to change.

I think it's great to be rich--I admire people who've made it to the top, but they need to pay their fair share and play by the same rules as the rest of us. This should be an issue that BOTH parties support. I never thought I'd see the day when the Republican party pushed proposals that hurt small business and main street, but that seems to be the direction you nuts are going.

Maybe the reason they own it is because nobody else is really buying it... Sort of like the most expensive mercedes is owned by the top 1%... Oh my god, the horror...

No offense but all I see is self pity and some sort of strange thought that you have some special meaning on this planet.

Don't feel bad that you're plankton and the lowest life form on the food chain. The food chain has been around a long time and there's always been simple life forms to provide food all the way up the chain till it hits a maxim in the apex predators.

At least you get to look forward to becoming ashes and dust and all that...

So what if they hoard all the wealth?
They do it lawfully. They are representatives of the free market. In fact, THEY ARE THE FREE MARKET!

Either that, or not that many people can afford to buy it.
