He's smarter than 99% of the players in the NFL and is a great family man. He'll probably be the commissioner of the league someday or a US Senator.

So when a man like this takes a stand, people take notice. It isn't grandstanding. What Obama said was stupid and asinine. "God Bless Planned Parenthood" What an idiot.

I voted for the man twice but it's stuff like this that makes me wonder if it's worth it.
*sigh*

Yeah, he's Mother Teresa because he's frugal and all the other athletes are dumb and evil because they had the nerve to buy things that they wanted.

Again, there is NOTHING moral about his stand. If he's so damn pious, then go shake the hand of a man that you just happen to disagree with. Did your Jesus refuse to kibbitz with people he didn't agree with morally? Prove it if he did.

All that yadda yadda bullsh*t about him being raised a catholic means nothing to me. Big deal. So was I. Catechism, baptism, confirmation, etc...I did all that crap and I aint impressed. In fact, the more pious the claim, the more apt I am to disbelieve the piety of the person.

15 Bricks must be a full load.

Go find the other one.

I'm not from Detroit, but be a dope if you must.

Again, MOST IVY LEAGUE ATHLETES CAN'T AFFORD THE TUITION!

So how is it being paid?

Your own link says "financial aid rewards." And of course its based on a need AND grade requirement.

It didn't say loan, did it?

That means its a SCHOLARSHIP even if you want to use some other terminology.

Now go find your missing brick.

No, and besides, you know my posting history well enough to know that if I thought he was a racist, I'd say so. I don't prevaricate. Not on or offline.

After all, it ain't like he'd kick my ass if I called him a racist. What's the worst that could happen?

Denial...that's about it.

BTW...what does this have to do with race anyway?

As I'm pro-choice, I disagree with Matt Birk's stand on the issues. On the other hand, I do respect his right NOT to meet with the president. He presented his opinion in a respectful way, so it's his right not to meet with Obama. I had a problem with Tim Thomas (goalie for my favorite hockey team, The Bruins) a couple years back, not because he disagreed with the president, but because his opposition to Obama was based on a paranoid fantasy.
