Some forms of capitalism IMO opinion can and are forms of oppotunists, or, vulture capitalists.

A large corporation will buy up someone's invention and make sure it never sees use or manufacture for their own personal gains.

I've know of at least one person who had his inventions stolen from him, which was back in the 1960's. His inventions were then patented, and sold for large sums of money.

We make a lot of food because it's profitable. If it were cheap to buy who wants to grow it?

If there is one thing you can point out in communists societies that were absolute failures is management of food. The former USSR used to have to import food from the US and this was during the cold war, even worse in China tens of millions starved to death becsue of their policies.

Capitalism may not be ideal but it's the best system there is where there is rewards for work.

Capitalism is the best system to create the biggest wealth gap in the quickest way. There is a reason we have social programs and that is to put a band aid on problems caused by capitalism. Capitalism is also the thing that leads people to replace their workers with machines, which, will itself bring down capitalism.

Thats the type of world capitalism created. People are brain washed to believe being selfish is the way to live. If it isn't for the advancement of the human race what is the point of your profit seeking.

Makes for interesting reading...
GM and Chevron Oil cooperated to kill the Electric car
Honda EV-Plus was actually left without the better battery that was killed by Chevron. Honda eventually developed a hybrid couple of years later where the need for a more effective battery pack was lower and a lower capacity would do. The EV-Plus was transformed into a research machine for Fuel Cell based development (with the same electric motor).

It broke my heart when I watched a video of GM crushing all those cute little Volts.
