As someone said about another topic. What in the world are you smoking?

Flouride and food as porn. Nice combination.

Bottomed out and distressed??
There are way too many that refuse to even try, revel in it, want the world to simply start accepting that there's nothing wrong with it and revise things to treat fat as perfectly normal.
Yep, I can see that, but I don't believe it for a minute, in most cases. No one is happy at four, five hundred pounds. It's a front.

Just like the guy that sits at the bar and gets obliterated night after night, tells you he wouldn't have it any other way. He's lying.

Your opinion is absurd ... completely uninformed, ignorant, and flippant.
Yup..... you just left out ruins joints and bone not meant or designed to carry such loads.

I have knee problems from carrying a pack board that weighed more than I did in my youth. I was around 140 then, and the pack board was 160 to 180 hauling food or trash for the AMC. I can still handle 50 or 60 pound packs.

I don't care if people want to weigh 900 pounds. i just don't want to pay taxes because they weigh 900 pounds.

So long as they can work and provide, then i don't care if they don't care, and don't mind shortening their lives.

Do 'we' have to use only the 400 and 500 pounders?
Why can't the 280 5'8" people and even the 180 lb 5' 3" people be included?
Aren't they fat?

These people would do very well in a famine.
Not if they start at 400 pounds they won't. people just eat because they feel like it. a bad habit.

I don't eat as much as i might like for starters and then I only eat when I am hungry often that ends up as a mid morning snack and dinner that night and somewhere in my day 1 gallon of clear mountain water.

I know it is 1 gallon as i can commonly be found dragging a 1 qt nalgene bottle around everywhere I go.

I have had a foot in a Micky D's since 1990. or any place like one. Poison palace USA is easy to avoid. I just don't go there.

When i did it was only as a last resort usually, but in time or over tome I realized after eating in a for crap food joint the next morning i felt like i had a hangover from drinking. That ended it all for me.

If i am going to suffer a hangover, i am going to get good and goddamned drunk, and I haven't had a hang over since my happy divorce party. That one was worth it

The best thing about water is you can drink all you want and you won't gain an ounce. When i am away from man and feel hungry i just drink another qt of water..... Water is great for heart burn too. Beats the hell out of modern meds.

In an increasingly low physical labor industrial society dominated by advertizing pushing the idea that all your problems will be solved by a sugar laden "big gulp" this ability to efficiently store energy against food shortage is not so useful. In fact it is a form of inherited disease. It is very difficult for people not to eat too much high energy density food, also saturated with table salt, in this society. “Let’s go out for supper” or “let’s get a burger” are very common forms of entertainment as are calls to add beer to the party.

I am over weight and find controlling and/or losing weight to be very difficult. I have to practically eliminate carbs from my diet and well as simple sugars (thank whoever invented Splenda) and also limit how much I eat. Last evening, for example, I ordered an Italian submarine sandwich at a local restaurant. I could only eat ¼ of the sandwich so I took home the rest. It will make four servings even if I don’t eat the bread.

So please stop ridiculing overweight people if you do not have the efficient food storage metabolism. It is damn difficult and very time consuming to limit intake and do the heavy exercise needed to stay in good condition let alone the famine victim skinny demanded by the clothing advertisements and the “health fitness” magazines.

You know me face to face..... In The North Face clothing line i am XL and XXL TNF makes 95% of everything in size medium which is almost too small for my wife in men's articles like parkas!

(I don't care much for women's outdoor gear. It is still lacking in rugged. So she gets what I say she gets, and the good part is she is still alive)

Because it's that threshold beyond which your body starts to break down that it's considered a disease, not when you're still healthy and are just overweight.

It's not about being fat, it's about being clinically obese. Not a bit pudgy.

I feel like that too. Unfortunately I think a lot of people get a short lived buzz off it - then they eat the hair of the dog because they feel bad.

And thus the cycle begins.
