In a state which is desirous of being saved from the greatest of all plagues...there should exist among the citizens neither extreme poverty nor, again, excessive wealth, for both are productive of great evil. --- Plato

You just described the U.S. government.

You sound like you're part of a terrorist cell waiting for an opportunity to strike.

You're not doing much to convince people that their perception about the "Occupy" movement is wrong. Even it's name is suggestive of violence. An "occupation" is rarely a peaceful event.

Way to go, champ.

Maybe this will help you swagger. This is a people's movement, it doesn't belong to ted, he is just one person.
If you want a better understanding, listen to this excellent interview of Luke Rudowski, who was covering Occupy from the beginning. He talks about interest groups trying to take it over, cities sending their mentally ill in, provocateurs attempt to disrupt, socialists being interviewed by the media, as if they represent this movement, which they do not.

David Icke talks with Luke Rudkowski at Occupy Wall Street - YouTube

Luke is a top notch investigative reporter for We Are Change. We Are Change | Be the Change You Wish to See in the World.

If you want a peaceful world, be peaceful.
If you want a kind world, be kind

Be the change you want to see.

You can't expect these kids to have all the answers. They were just trying to bring focus to the fact that our Government is subject to the wildly colluded and corrupt financial system and the Federal Reserve. People are understanding more and more how connected things are now so it should be easier to have a clearer message in the near future.

Of course there are hundreds of things to protest within our financial system and the effects of our financial system and Occupy did not turn anyone away and did want to have "leaders" but majority rule based decisions. Cities encouraged homeless and mentally ill to occupy the camps, which was fine as OWS was serving food to them but it also distracted from the protests and message and made for easy Corporate Media sabatoge footage.

OWS did accomplish something if you're still talking about it.
I felt a boost just knowing that there are others who care about reversing income inequality and America working as a team, rather than the brutal corporate fanatacism/Powell Memorandum ideology advanced over the last 35 years. Good coverage of it all by Democracy Now as well.

Updates from uprisings around the world seem similar to tactics used here in the US.

It used to be that we were appalled when brutality and intimidation was used around the world. When we had our own protest right here in the US similar tactics were used to intimidate and suppress protestes.

Mounting police violence against journalists covering

“We are very disturbed by the increasingly systematic nature of the police violence, which seems more like revenge than law enforcement,” Reporters Without Borders said. “It is unacceptable for journalists to be deliberately targeted, prevented from working and beaten by the police officers who are supposed to protect them.

“The illegal arrests must stop at once, and investigations must be carried out in order to punish those responsible for the abuses. Officials must also clearly condemn this behaviour and stop scapegoating the media in their speeches because it gives the impression that they are encouraging these excesses.”

Reporter Gökhan Biçici and cameraman Okan Altunkara of pro-Kurdish IMC TV, Dogan New Agency reporters Ferhat Uludaglar and Ugur Can, cameraman Emre Fidan of nationalist TV channel Ulusal Kanal and Aslan Sahan, a reporter for the Aydinlik daily newspaper, were arrested yesterday while covering clashes between police and demonstrators in various Istanbul neighbourhoods. Police grabbed Biçici’s gas mask and iPad and dragged him along the ground. According to the latest information, he is still in police custody, as is Daniele Stefanini, an Italian freelancer who was injured and arrested yesterday.

I'm doing too. On a local level and macro level. It's not a competition of who's doing more.

What are you doing to solve the bigger issue?

I'm pretty sick of people who are in opposition but have no real alternatives.

The crisis is one where the longer we wait, the more damage is done.

Same here.

I'm so tired of people who are living comfortably telling others to "sit back, and not to worry."

Nobody is doing anything. The politicians aren't solving the problems. The corporations aren't solving the problems.

The only way things will change is if WE do something about it.

It's time to put the wedge in the machine. Attention and a good honest discussion is what is wanted. Our Economic prosperity depends on it and there is no bigger issue in this country.
