Plenty of companies move but mostly because cost, CT will just have to live with the loss of 140 employees, not much of a loss. Probably a good move for the company going to an area where they can reduce wages and with a lower cost of living.

They are moving because CT. no longer supports their industry. Don't try and muddy the waters or confuse the issue.....
Many companies are contemplating a move to more second amendment friendly states..... Magpul to name one. A CO. based company.
This is a big so what. The entire industry in Ct employs just 90% of what MetLife employed up there. Met is relocating a huge chunk, and by rumors 100% eventually, of its hq.
This means far more to SC than the industries loss does in Ct.
40 years ago, the industry was a big employment engine. Today it is so automated-its unreal. Last I looked, Sturm Ruger globally employs around 1,200, and their sales are huge.

Many companies..., who else besides the other gun manufacturer is considering relocating because they disagree with sensible gun laws. No reason they could have remained but that's their choice.

The article was short on specific reasons.
Magpul is among the most notable, and I've heard rumors of others moving as well. I can't link because I didn't save the link. Didn't anticipate this discussion and all....
There are some companies refusing to sell to Law Enforcement agencies in states with severe new restrictions, although Remington sold out on that promise....
Many companies pulled out of the Eastern Sports and Outdoor show in PA after they decided to ban assault weapons from the show..... and lost hundreds doing it.
It's all symbolic and goes back to that old saying "Don't Tread On Me"

It's all symbolic and doesn't amount to much, other companies will take the place of those refusing to sell to LE. The financial condition of gun companies is not an issue they have done well the last 4 years but I guess you can always improve the bottom line.
Why not PA? We have practically the same gun laws as SC does and we're just a few states underneath. Oh that's right, just more race to the bottom, of course!
For such a small state, there sure is a large concentration of idiots there.
yeah statist often prefer to live in clusters// ironically they prefer to live in the areas that gave birth to America, that are the battle ground for the bill or rights, and yeah are the most Anti American, Anti freedom, and Anti 2nd Amendment.
