So, no, they cannot be trusted. Never. Ever. Ever.
You are right about them not being trustable. The term "White Hispanic" has been used for much longer than Zimmerman came on the scene.

I think this is the key issue. Most working people do not have the time to go searching for the truth to most news stories and never wonder if what they are hearing is true. I tried a couple of times to get some posters to realize they did not have the story straight; but they kept repeating the story CNN has spun. Until you posted this I did not realize that is where they had gotten their information.

The sad thing is that an innocent man may end up with his life ruined because these news people are busy being politically correct. I hope this doesn't happen. I think the president should pardon Zimmerman if he is convicted because he is as guilty of prejudice as CNN.

Nothing is ever fair and everything happens for a reason but I really feel for Zimmerman in what he is going through just because he cared about his neighborhood and tried to help. That is so sad. "No good deed shall go unpunished."

Thanks for clearing that up, Perry Mason.

You are correct in what you say, but if reports made no difference, people wouldn't seek a change of venue based on pretrial publicity, and the Supreme Court would not have upheld that as valid.

In Irvin v. Dowd, 366 U.S. 717 (1961), the Supreme Court held that if prejudicial pretrial publicity jeopardizes a defendant’s right to a fair trial by an impartial jury, the trial judge should grant a defendant’s motion for a change of venue.

The Supreme Court has clearly acknowledged that media reports can have an effect on a jury.

I agree with you. This is another example of just that.

If CNN lied at least we could say that there was some thought behind it. The problem with CNN isn't lying, its problem is that CNN has lost its ability to do basic reporting, but that's what you get for using interns as producers and rely more on digital magic than actual journalism.
i agree with this. at one time cnn was a trusted source for news, unfortunately those days are long gone.

He didn't care about his neighborhood or he would have known what street he was on.

He acted on his own selfish self-interest.

He finally made Eagle Scout.

His affectations prevented his entry into the Police Academy.

It's PRAVDA, not Pravada.

What's wrong with a little Pravado?

When someone leads off with, "If the truth be known", usually the truth follows.

I read bye that mis spelling like it wasnt there because it didnt effect the intent of the post

It's not a grammar lesson, as it's a linguistics lesson. I'm sorry you don't know the meaning of the term "grammar".
PPAVADA is the name of a facial cream. It does not mean truth in Russian.
