Do the majority of the politicians care? It doesn't seem so. So then, ask yourself why?
That's an easy question to answer.

Politicians support sending arms to Syria because they're owned by the military-industrial complex, who never miss an opportunity to peddle arms the public have to pay them for.

I wasn't actually speaking of this issue, specifically, because I know many of them want him to give resources to the Syrian rebels. But they complain when he does an end run around them. So, generally speaking, when he does that why not take it out on him at appropriations time so he learns to stop doing it?

I agree with Paul. Why on earth would we send money to these people who hate us and hate our ways and cut out and eat hearts from their victims?

For once Carville got something right -- either ther Syrian regime is the worst group of people fighting the second worst group of people or the rebels are the worst group fighting the second worst group.

We don't have a dog in this fight. We have our own unguarded borders, we have our impossibly high national debt and besides --- does anything believe that Obama's government would react any differently from the Syrian government if there was an uprising here?

Do Americans have the freedom to overthrow our government? Not at all, so why would we send money to help others do what we cannot do?

Yes, they should but being that they support him all they will do is complain.

Rand Paul wants to block Obama from sending aid to Syria | The Daily Caller

Two Democrats and one other Republican have signed on with Rand Paul.

Agree or disagree with Paul?

If you agree is it because we're giving the aid to people that we don't know who we are arming or because it's yet another conflict in the Middle East with no vote or Congressional oversight? Or both?
Rand Paul, and the ron paul psychotics who permeate web forums simplistically screeching "it's not our war" are just boring already.

It is DEFINITELY our war, since multiple US national security interests are involved.

It is really pathetic how completely devoid of history these people are.

I'm just glad that France in 1775 and Poland did not say the same thing, or we'd still be a commonwealth.

And like all armchair clueless "experts" on the middle east, you know this how?

Are you in the CIA/special forces on the ground in Turkey or Jordan for the last 18 months training the rebels?

Stop spewing the nonsense you hear from garbage sources like russia today and IRNA, it's boring.

Because most americans are stupid and cannot see the big picture. If this country had a real media or president who could actually show some leadership, they'd have long ago already explained why the US is needed to step in and arm the rebels.

Our national security is only AT RISK because of our world Empire activities. And in case you haven't noticed, we're more than BROKE--we're DEEPLY IN DEBT--and facing the retirement of the Baby Boom with nothing but IOUs in the supposed $2.7 trillion Social Security Trust Fund.

If our Empire Big Government didn't spend more on military OFFENSE than all the other world nations combined, we wouldn't have to worry about terrorism, or the retirement of the Baby Boom, or the $16 trillion national debt. We would be on much sounder financial footing, and not forced to make choices that are going to hurt millions of Americans--and hurt them significantly.

Other nation's Empire activities should be a lesson in what NOT to do--notice how France (and England) are no longer world powers, and their citizens live lives of very little opportunity or hope, cramped in grey urban ghetto apartments.
