As a gun owner who has attended CCW classes, I can verify beyond a shadow of a doubt that the majority of gun enthusiasts have masturbated at least once at the thought of executing another man.
It's depressing. A huge percentage of gun owners, particularly men from rural areas, have huge issues with their manliness/masculinity, and they have intense revenge fantasies that invariably involve firearms.
Go to any gun club anywhere and if there are a dozen folks there you will almost certainly hear a few guys jerking themselves off to a fantasy of butchering a home invader.
They want to play hero.

Without any realistic information of the actual numbers or cases in # 2 above, or the availability of some other weapon making # 3 above totally irrelevant concerning guns, and the fact that #4 is simply one of over 2.5 million cases each year of a legally armed citizen preventing or stopping a crime, someone wants to prevent # 1, a concealed carry law.
I agree that those figures are completely made up. I also have to point out that 2.5 million cases (proposed by Dr. Kleck) is a false assertion, while the left use as little as 17 incidents per year as their number, also entirely bogus.
According to the government there were 11,078 gun related homicides (not including suicide)
How will gun control stop gun homicides? Even gun control proponents agree that it won't.

Agreed, I know hundreds of people and have meet thousands across the Unties States and other countires, that own or have owned guns, and I have NEVER heard the talk of which the left continues to babble on about.

A bad thought process would be the type of insanity required to imply that not allowing citizens to carry concealed would stop all or even a sizable portion of those crimes you mention.
CCP holders commit crimes at a tiny fraction of the rate of the general population.
The left has cried wolf, over, and over, and over again when these laws have gone into place. They cried wolf before the passage of the first CCW law. And the second. And the third. And the last. They are crying wolf now where I am in NC over a new bill that brings NC in line with every other state in the region. They cry wolf, and every time, nothing happens. When all is said and done they slink away quitely until the next outrage.
To be fair to Bloomberg - politics aside - his city does have a much lower murder rate than Atlanta. If NYC had as many murders per capita as Atlanta had last year, its murders would rise from 417 to 1,577.
So while it's nice to see one thug taken down in Atlanta, Atlanta seems to have a whole lot more thugs to begin with.
