why would parents supply soda and candy, government schools should do that, it's tyranny if they don't

Weakest argument i have ever seen. NOBODY is saying that schools SHOULD do that. The idea is CHOICE and thus up to the school on what they want to do.

Indeed. Tyranny, I tell ya.

Not only do they brainwash our children to be liberal Obamabots who don't embrace Creationism, but now they want them to eat healthy food. They also have the nerve to not endorse Christianity as the official religion of the USA.

That's just disgusting.

It should ALL be a matter of choice. What's next? Are they going to insist on normative English and force everyone to conform to grammar rules?

Leave it to democrats to turn this into something totally un related. Yeah we know none of you believe in choice. It is all about having the government dictate every aspect of our lives. I would like ONE OF YOU to show me where anyone against this government intervention has said they are AGAINST healthy eating? As usual the point flew right over your heads as to what is being objected to.

Nah, it didn't. I have stated that I believe that the USDA is overreaching. I have also stated that I can live with it since it aids parents.

The federal government overreaches ALL the time - however, I find this to be a rather benign example and thus, feel free to make light of the exaggerated outrage.

Alas, I am also not a democrat... Never have been.

Actually the OP and many others want the government to sell soda and junk food in government run schools, and if the government doesn't sell soda and junk food, then it's Communist tyranny,

Obamastyle!!!

These democraps make me sick, I'm drinking a case of soda just to spite them

That is the problem and thus they are doing it ALL the time now as you stated. Where does it end? NONE of it should be acceptable and all called out. I am a equal opportunist when it comes to calling it out as to me most of it is no good.

Ofcourse many parents lacks proper parenting skills as well which yeah i know ties into this government overreach. The government just needs to get the heck out of it all together. Amazing how we survived as long as we did without all of this intervention.

Well, don't hold your breath. If you want the federal government out of it altogether, you need to argue for the dissolution of the union. Otherwise, it is their duty to meddle in quite a few affairs in order to create some sort of cohesion and consistency that is required for, well, a union.

Not really.Oh and i am not advocating for the COMPLETE eradication of the government. They just don't belong in matter such as this. Our founders founded this country to get away from all the government intervention/dictating. Amazing how that escapes so many people. Telling people what to eat, drink, sleep etc was not a part of the plan that i am 100% certain of.

Government shouldn't decide what they are going to sell in government schools?????

Tell me where in the Constitution our founding fathers argued that point?
