My first post here - watching today and I am SHOCKED at the Prosecution, so I had to "vent."
I am hearing the Prosecutor making a great case for the Defense. WHY?
Seems to me the Prosecutor is so hung up on proving Zimmerman is a liar, that he just doesn't care if he bolsters the defense.
Zimmerman is a liar. So What! That's not a capital crime.
Yeah. More proof that they have no case. What does him applying or wanting to be a cop have to do with proving 2nd degree murder? Nothing. They have yet to come close to meeting the definition of 2nd degree murder.
Seriously, Im beginning to believe the Defense should immediately call for a dismissal when the State rests. They have presented NOTHING to prove their case so far and likely wont during the rest of their turn. Of course, the judge being biased as hell will allow the show trial to go on, but the Defense needs to make that demand for dismissal. Perhaps that can help their case in the event the jurors dont go off of evidence and convict GZ. They can appeal for different reasons, perhaps including the judges failure to dismiss the case when its clear the State didnt meet the grounds to prove their case.
I think it's pretty standard. "Your honor the defense moves for dismissal based on the lack of evidence"...and then the judge says "Motion denied. Call your first witness."....
Today, they're wasting everyone's time trying to prove George is a wannabee.

I suppose everyone who watches any of the cop/ME type TV shows is a wannabee, somehow, somewhere deep within his soul. According to the prosecution. lol
But they are trying to use GZ's past to show that he is willing to use force, thinking he can get away with it. Didn't TM also use force, thinking he could get away with it?

But in this case, over a week into it, and it doesnt appear to be changing, there is absolutely a lack of any evidence to the State's case. Could then that not be grounds for Appeal if this judge refuses to call for Dismissal?
I don't think so? I'm not sure. Someone else claimed it was not. However, it simply wasn't clear from the testimony.
It was not. This ME only looked at pictures of George. When the defense showed the same pictures in court, she said they were distorted and bad angles, so she couldn't make determinations from them.
So O'Mara told her if she got out the pictures she had used, they could use those. To which she admitted she had worse copies of the same pictures O'Mara was showing her.
