I'd wager you'll get posts of "Oh it can never happen here."
Every empire comes to an end. We will be no different.
Will it happen in my lifetime ? Who knows.
The key is to get the majority of the citizens behind a leader and supporting that leader when he starts to break the rules ever so slowly.
Call me paranoid but I see it happening.
Rules are being bent and broken for one reason or another.
The people seem ok with it..apathy perhaps ?
Congress voices some outrage but does nothing.
We now have a secret judicial system within the judicial system.
The Supreme Court is being kept busy with social issues.
