First of all anyone can write anything and have investors.com reprint it on their website so, no, they're not creditable as a source. Second of all they don't have a single cite listed in that whole attack piece and given how the right wing constantly lies I will not believe any of their made up numbers until their is actual good science behind it.
Blacks are also much more likely than whites to be VICTIMS of murder.
So, according to the prevailing "logic," there must be a national campaign to increase gun ownership among blacks -- particularly among young black males, who are disproportionately represented as murder victims. Because widespread gun ownership is the only way to reduce crime.
Right?
Arm them. The honest people won't use guns for evil and the rest are already armed.
No honest conversation about race is possible when accusations of racism replace reasoned arguments. Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen, who mentioned high rates of crime among black males, was rewarded with the racist label within minutes by some of those (The Atlantic, Slate) who presumably agree with Holder that we are too timid when discussing race.
Many American liberals are achingly nostalgic for old-fashioned racism. It offered them a helium high of moral superiority. It was deserved ... in 1967. But by perpetuating the fiction that modern America has not changed, they've become more than ridiculous, more even than grossly unjust, they've become dangerous. Look around you. The violence and bitterness that have followed the Zimmerman verdict were virtually ordered up by convicted slanderer Al Sharpton and his many imitators.
Obama just "kicked it up a notch" - Trayvon Martin has been elevated from 'son of Obama' to Obama himself. Sharpton loved the Obama speech - gasoline on the fire, just in time for the weekend protests.
I'd like to see hapless Republicans stop focusing on those blacks on the bottom, citing statistics which show the struggle for survivial in these segments, and do something, ANYTHING, to lessen the differences between us. Republicans don't want to have a conversation about race because of the utter worthlessness that their ideology has proven to be in this area. I think you better leave Holder alone. He's got you beat.
Blacks on the bottom may be killing each other, but what in the hell is the typical Republican's excuse for being so clueless about all issues involving race, civil rights, and equality? You Regressives are too small-minded to even recognize the contributions of the extraordinary number of brilliant, accomplished, educated, and talented blacks. You're far more of a detriment to this society than even the most ignorant black person since society gives you every consideration, yet you chose remain clueless.
Forget about trying to have a conversation with Holder. Get better informed, educate YOURSELVES, and join us in the 21st century.

Obama said he'd never let Detroit go bankrupt. However....they are! Doesn't really matter if a judge denies them bankruptcy or not....they are broke and Democrats have no one to blame for it but themselves.

It's odd that the Investor's Business Daily, a page that shows almost every type of graph, table, chart in the business world...would fail to even name the report or even link the information. Pisspoor Job IBD.
You're right. I said this in another thread. Liberal after liberal says we need a discussion, a conversation, about race in this country. Yet every time they get that opportunity, they use it to divide and they dont focus on the real issues of race. They dont acknowledge the fact that its more of the black community keeping themselves down, than it is racism.
What they do instead is, take an incident and a make it high profile. Whether race is really involved or not, they make sure they twist it so it race is the sole focus. Just like the recent GZ incident. Racism had zero, zilch, nada to do with it. But the media and the liberals in power made damn sure they twisted it to make the ignorant believe it was.

The "precise data" from that article isn't precise. It's actually way off the actual numbers.
The FBI Uniform Crime Reports data shows that in 2010, out of a total of 15,094 homicides, 2035 were committed by black males under the age of 22. That's 13.5 % of all homicides.

It's not hard to find the report if you just Google one of the quotes from it. It's a PDF file where you can see the statistics are quoted accurately from a report by the DOJ in 2008.
I would post the lunk to the PDF file ( it was the 3rd link when I Googled the quote) but I can't copy the link on my phone's browser.
