I won't quote the article as I don't want to break the copyright rules here but the illegal wiretapping case just gets worse and worse and, yes, they really are using it against regular Americans who have no connection to terrorism at all. Usually they'd have to get a court order to conduct such wiretapping but now they don't even bother as they're literally recording everything you say on the telephone, everything you do on the computer, every page you go to, every email you send, every link you click. It's not going to stop at pot smokers getting charged by the DEA and instead it's going to grow and ever increase its reach and scope.

Exclusive: U.S. directs agents to cover up program used to investigate Americans

Summary: Well, there you go with 4th amendement violations, the war on drugs, out right corruption, and one big grab bag of government over reach.

Not one of the cases exposed so far has involved national security, as both the President and Congressional Republicans have claimed in their excuses, and instead lots of regular every day Americans just having their 4th amendment rights violated in a routine and all invasive manner.

So they are illegally garnering information and telling the local boys to go lie to the judge about how they got the evidence. Basically the same thing as searching your home without a warrant and using the evidence found to convict. Hell they are probably planting evidence on folks too to back up their BS NSA data collection to boot. These clowns are lying right in the courtroom now. How much farther will they go? Meanwhile the sheep scream about trayvon.

The United States government does whatever it wants. Always has. Always will.

Do we need a thread for each time they're caught with their hand in the cookie jar?

And the Obama administration provided military grade weapons to the Mexican drug cartels.

The War on Drug is a hoax, the whole reason Mexico has a cartel war is because it's such a lucrative business for them to bring drugs over the border and no one has heard of any shortage of illegal drugs.
