Politicians who violate the constitution should sever a minimum of 5 years in prison. When did Congress declare war on Yemen? Oh yeah, never. When did Yemen invade the US? How about another never. There is zero constitutional authority to carry out "drone strikes" on a sovereign country.

You are correct. A drone is a bomb. Since when can Obama start bombing the hell out of countries without Congressional approval? Where exactly is the outrage from Congress? He justifies the bombing by giving out a ridiculous % of the dead bodies being 'terrorist'? How about a 'terrorist' justifying detonating a bomb using his % terms?

The USA has completely lost any moral highground they might have had in the past and is now actually the biggest terrorist nation on earth
When has the US ever held the moral high ground? The US was born from a violent birth and has had a long history of brutality. On the other hand what other country if any can claim "the moral high ground"? There isn't a state operating today that can make such a claim. We are not at a point in human history where morality significantly influences policy. Policy is driven by national interest. And today it is in the US' interest to eliminate the hierarchy of terrorist organizations that are actively plotting against us... Collateral damage and all...

I bet Congressional approval would go through with at least a 2/3 majority if if can down to it. But I do agree we need the war powers reviewed and updated to reflect the realities of today.

But this new boss has tools that the old bosses didn't have.
And these new tools cause a lot more death and destruction and creates a lot more enemies.

Obama you are actually helping the very 'terrorists' that you are claiming to kill (wink, wink) with your murderous drone bombing. Keep it up, you will perhaps get as much blood on your hands as G W.

"The second-in-command of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) says that the toppling of Bashar Assad’s regime in Syria is the largest threat to United States national security and may help al-Qaeda acquire chemical weapons.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell said the prospect of the Syrian government being replaced by al-Qaeda his biggest worry."

And who is arming those rebels that will topple Bashar?? Arm them and in the same breath fear them because they will become the biggest threat to the US???

In times of war, isn't that what military officials and politicians call collateral damage?
This. It's a shame AQ cowards hide behind women and children.

The biggest problem in US policy in the Middle East is that our politicians don't understand the region or it's people. Bush wanted to topple Sadaam so he could be our 'war president', but didn't know the difference between a Shia and a Sunni, and no, after spending trillions of dollars and losing thousands of lives, the world is not a 'better place without Sadaam', because in a way that could only be plausible in the Middle East, he was actually a stabilizing force in the region. Our desire to get revenge on Gaddafi caused us to help Al Qaeda gain a foothold in Libya. We are arming Al Qaeda in Syria, while we are supposedly drone bombing them in Afganistan and Pakistan.

Obama needs to convene a meeting with Mike Gravel, Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich, before doing anything else, because they have more intelligence than anyone else in Washington.
