How odd.

What does a person's sexual preference have to do with their athletic accomplishment?
This question has been asked regarding other endeavors and has yet to ever be satisfactorily answered or addressed. The athletic accomplishment, or lack of it, really has nothing whatsoever to do with a given sexual preference unless there is a reason to focus on a specific sexual preference and an accompanying agenda being proselytized.

Now we're getting a little clearer. Hear that, pro-gay crowd?

Regarding my second bold, WRONG AGAIN. It is similar to discriminating against someone because of the color of their skin. It isn't at all similar to saying they are mentally ill and need treatment.

As for your entire second paragraph. Since you want to spout nonsense about imperialism, allow a Westerner to enlighten you. With this sentence of yours "It is condoning cultural imperialism by using tactics to 'free' people that merely dictates what they ought to do to benefit a small segment of the population" you clearly indicate that you do not respect human rights. Hitler and Stalin both said similar comments about minorities within their country. Minority rights are human rights! And the will of the majority should never be used to oppress those in few number.

You want us to let Russia be and come to terms at its own pace with this issue. Well you know, Russia has never been very efficient with coming to terms with anything. It is a country in fact well know for sticking to its terrible ideals until an immense amount of human suffering has occurred. As a gay man, I feel connected to other gay people who are being persecuted in this country. I won't just sit idle and say "let Russia do what Russia wants". These are people no different than me being discriminated against for things they have no control over.
First off, you are using your own cultural references to judge absolutely the culture of others. Their morality is not yours and vice-versa so your claim of human rights violations are merely interpretive and subjective; thus political when vented with infantile vitriol. Lay off the textbooks written by the glorifiers of Moses or join your Puritan buddys. Either way, make a decision and figure yourself out. Your bolds are things you read that you have not fully understood. It is rather simple. Culture defines what people feel they ought to be allowed to do, thus it is hand-in-glove with their airy idea of human rights. Why do you prefer to agitate and excite people over something so obviously true? Why choose to be a spanner in life? Then, when called out on those lame pity cards you tossed out an attack comes in the form of an inpromptu race card, and a raise by invoking Stalin and Hitler like some retired Cold War propagandist out for a last thrill with his pension. Marvelous! But what a tired playbook to lift tactics from. That sort of play died out with the last of the hippies! Now find these 'similiar' dictatorial quotes from those historical humanitarians and smear me by blending them in to what I typed. They had a lot to say about their people's inalienable 'human rights', too, and look at the results!

Human rights as a concept is a social engineering mechanic. Enjoy your slavery to a form of thought control created to keep people with too much existential blood on their hands busy working to open up regions thru political maneuvering to access their resources and wealth. Don't like it? Pity, there is much in life that could be called some grandiose 'human right'. That doesn't make it so. And the UN doesn't love you back.

Now hey, hear this: RUSSIA IS NONE OF YOUR CONCERN! That's right, none of your concern. Do you pay taxes there, do you live there and if you think the people are attractive there, how nice, so are you there yet? But you "won't sit idle" when you can scream about 'human rights violations'. You can't sit still can you? You must react as puppets do, all afire over something that you know is right as you are some 'enlightened Westerner' full of wisdom for the benefit of cute, suffering heathens. I am born and raised American and I can tell you how stupid that sort of roamntic label is. The only thing a Westerner is enlightened about is how to stick their long snouts into the business of societies where they're not wanted to make a dollar- or buttress their own sinking ethical ships.

This human rights thing is all about cultural imperialism. Always has been. Always will be. The very concept defines cultural imperialism, something you would call enlightenment while revealing the inner-schizo when some follow up lines flow about the greatness of diversity expressed thru multi-culturalism- as the work proceeds to modify and make homogenous those diverse alien cultures paid lip service at their awesome foreign-ness. I pity you your torment. To not be able to critique all one is told and not see the implanted rift. The words you type indicate what the issue is and perhaps a trip to a professional who casts no negative judgement as to how people ought to be may help you deal with this apparent identity crisis. And no, I do not respect attempts to subvert other people into doing my selfish bidding. I live a life free from the need to extract from others their identity in order to bolster my own by molding them into reflections that act, look and live just like me, nodding their heads with mine.

And FYI, a majority doesn't like its culture subverted by a slim minority that cannot even control its own self-destructive tendencies. The major cause of this destruction being what I bolded in your huff-puff blow-me-down explosion. Twice now, that line. Too revealing, too sad- and right at home...

Specifically the Taliban athletes. After all, if the Taliban athletes are prohibited from competing, then it weakens the Afghani Olympic Team. Barry is looking forward to seeing some Taliban competitors bring home the gold.

Oh, the irony.

You insist on the importance of cultural relativism and then conclude with your own invocation of imperialism.

Lmao. Going back a bit, to the origin of the Olympic Games, one could safely sy that 90% or better of the contestants, were "gay". Greek athletes and warriors believed that heterosexual relations sapped a mans strength. The Spartans, in particular, despite the passionate scenes in 300, were some rump ranging kinda guys.

Today, much of the Islamic world holds to similar ideals of male dominance. Male/female intercourse is seen as "unclean". A black eye to male superiority. Homosexuality in the Olympic Games? ! Whoda thunk!!!!

What an utterly ridiculous subject! Look at REAL history folks. Look at crrent doctrine amongst countries who send out athletes. The facades are mind blowing. Amongst athletes, homosexuality is nothing new. Hardly. Male or female...no difference. Governments try and hide it. Especially theocratic ones. No joy. The Spartans and Greeks set tbe bar thousands of years ago, and it hasn't changed. How utterly ridiculous can the world stage get?! ROFLMAO!!!

Obama is pushing his gay agenda on the world.. kind of creepy of him don't you think? Obama must have more skin in the game than the average heterosexual president to go global with gay issues.
