Turns out Obama isn't a Muslim, was born in the US (after being shamed into showing his Birth Certificate) by the likes of Donald Trump and if he was such a Marxist why is Wall Street at a all time high?
I am not a Birther by any means, and I believe he was born in this country.

However, he has NEVER shown anyone his birth certificate.

Perhaps you think it is cutesy, or politically demeaning, or something, but in reality it is low class, unfeeling, cruel, and again, just simply OFFENSIVE!
How about you do those of us who have medical problems which require us to breathe through our mouths a HUGE favor, and just knock it off!
Poutrage.

Okay, I guess. I just think that weakens your stance on these issues.
while his religion is in question, his background isnt. obamas parents and step parent were all marxists, obamas mentor was an avowed communist, when obama started going to college he sought out the radicals, the chicanos, and the marxist professors, by his own public admission. obama believes in big government ownership and control of everything, one of the very tenants of marxism. obama promised fiscal responsibility in his campaign, but has done the very opposite. obama said he wanted to strengthen the middle class, he has done the opposite, he said he wanted to raise taxes only on those who made more than $250,000, he did the opposite, he said he wanted the most transparent administration in history, he has done the opposite. there have been a number of scandals the are being investigated, yet his administration is doing everything it can to impede those investigations. we take issue with his policies, and with his actions in office, and with his denial of responsibility and the fact that he pushes the blame onto others to obfuscate the truth. obama is power hungry and corrupt. perhaps the left cant see that, or they see it and like it, either way it doesnt matter, the truth is the truth.

This is a thread on a message board wherein the question was asked "why continue to spread the lies about the president"
I've explained the point of the thread a dozen times already. Obama is not a Muslim, he's not a Marxist, he's not a foreigner, his wife doesn't spend billions of tax payer dollars, he doesn't want to implant a chip into americans, he doesn't charter a private jet for his dog, yet these types of lies still are circulated. I'm asking simply for what purpose.
Want to talk about the economy...geez, I think you might have that chance in one of the hundred other threads about that.
Don't take this the wrong way but if you think any of this is new then you either just recently started following politics or are quite young.

Clinton and Bush both had a host of crap said about them, conspriacies about them rounding up people into FEMA camps.....high oil price conspriacies, murder lists, hating black people, weather control, impeachment of Clinton, tracking americans via strips in money....

In fact, a lot of that comes from people that are neither right nor left but just have an axe to grind with government in general. Then you have the far right and far left that make up their own wacky claims like the birthers or the ones looking into Bush's national guard records or the swift boaters blah blah blah.

Throughout the entire thread I've kept repeating myself. I'm not talking about your opinion on his policies or handling of the country. Those are issues that are discussed all over the CD. My question is why do we still get the obvious bs articles out there like the mark of the beast, like the dog's private plane, like Michelle spending billions of dollars overseas. Why do we still get reports of him being a muslim, when he's not - not that it should really matter anyway. Why there are still people saying that he's a foreigner and shouldn't be president BASED ON HIS SUPPOSED NATIONALITY.

I originally posted after having a conversation with co-workers (most of whom are republican) about these BS articles. We all agreed that it was pretty obviously a ploy during his first term to insure that people who were on the fence, or didn't pay attention at all to what was going on would vote him out of office since we all know that supposedly being a foreign Muslim who is also a Marxist is pure evil at it's worse.
But none of us could figure out the point of still doing it.

I figured I'd ask the question here and I don't think I got one answer to my question from anyone on the right.
There was a lot of "I hate Obama" "Because he's a terrible president" "Because of the economy" and things like that, but no one would answer the question that was asked.

I can only assume that it's because of one of the following reasons:
1. Most posters didn't actually take the time to compute what was being asked.
2. They had no answer and are too proud a supporter of all things right to acknowledge that it's pointless.
3. They did it just to screw with me

I can't say that anyone believes the nonsense because not one person said "well, he is a Muslim" "he is a Marxist" "he is trying to get a picture of his dog's poop on the $3 bill." No one can defend this garbage so they wanted to highjack the thread.

I'm done though. lol. I was hoping to get a different type of conversation, perhaps discussing the GOP's tactics (good or bad) or at least whether it made sense to keep lying about the religion and background of a president who's on his way out.
I can't get anyone who is "anti-Obama" to answer the question directly, and I'm tired of wasting time and energy reposting the same explanation over and over again.

To those of you who did answer with your opinion, thank you. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that the people who understood what was being asked were basically "leftys" and no, that's not to say that people on the left are smarter, just that people on the left are willing to admit that these specific issues have been lied about for 5 years now and it's tiresome.
really? i think you wanted someone to make a certain claim, and no one has, and now you are whining that you didnt get the answer you wanted.

Problem is that there are some who think anything said about Obama that paints him in a less than favorable light is spreading lies about the President. They perceive no difference in someone who spouts birther nonsense and someone who believes his economic policies have been a failure. Both are called out equally as racist or accused of being RWNJs. Until some can distinguish between lies and criticism, there will be no real conversation or consensus.

If you disagree with the president, dislike, or hate the president. That's one thing. Everyone has their own beliefs, politically or otherwise and we're not all going to see eye to eye. I used to have a calendar counting down the days until GW left office, so I get not being happy with the man in the oval office.

I'm talking about the continued villainization (which I don't think is a real word). The constant misuse of the word socialist. The constant lying about his background. The name calling, the garbage. And I am not even talking about people on the CD board or just in every day life. I'm talking the right wing propaganda machine. I'm talking the GOP. I'm talking Fox. I'm talking the people who manufacture the nonsense and stir the pot.

My point is, he's on his last term. 2016 is it. He's gone. No more Obama come 2016.

Doesn't it seem like this would be the time for the movers and the shakers of the Grand Ole Party to start building up a stronger party? Why spend so much time lying about the guy Americans voted in twice, and start building up their own party? Spend some time looking to what Americans want in a president and start finding a man or woman within their own ranks who might actually get votes?

Believe it or not this thread isn't meant to argue Obama policies, decisions or anything like that. I'm just so sick and tired of the lies that are so blatantly obvious that are spread around for the purposes of the right wing agenda and I just don't get why they even bother. The man's not going anywhere for another 3 years.

Simple answrer: Because he's not right wing.

Exactly!

And why can't the mouth breathing right be more like the left during the Bush administration?
