Stand Your Ground" wasn't even used in the trial, basic self-defense laws were. Either way a teenager is dead he had no self defense.

If stand your ground was used as an example why couldn't Trayvon stand his?

I look at the trial & case from both sides.

The aggressor followed the victim.

trayvon threw the first punch when all he had to do was just walk away. trayvon also said he was going to kill zimmerman. sounds to me like trayvon was the aggressor in this case.

think of it this way, zimmerman was the neighbor hood watch person, but lets say he was an undercover cop instead and the same thing happened.

Trayvon is dead. How can he testify who threw the first punch?

Zimmerman was the aggressor who was told to stand down from verifiable facts in the case.

I am totally shocked that they left out the part where Saint Skittles was pummeling Zimmerman.

The PSA uses actors to portray Zimmerman and Martin, seen in the distance wearing a hoodie. The scene shifts to inside the home of a neighbor who called police, and a gunshot can be heard in the background. It ends with the arrest of Zimmerman near the body of Martin lying in the grass. The spot ends with several other "victims" on the ground, wearing hoodies.

"Our laws should protect victims," an onscreen message during the PSA reads. "Not create more."
They call it a "Public Service Announcement" and then distort the entire Martin/Zimmerman case by showing "several other "victims" on the ground, wearing hoodies. That's SICK.

Our laws did protect the "victim" in the Martin/Zimmerman case. Months of investigation, a long trial and a 20 hour long Jury deliberation. The Jury that actually heard and saw the evidence in this Self Defense Trial rendered a verdict of Not Guilty to all charges against George Zimmerman.

Stand Your Ground was not a part of this trial at all. These idiots just can't accept our Laws on Self Defense and they can't accept that Trayvon Martin was attempting to beat Zimmerman to death. This is going to backfire on them - the public is tired of this nonsense.

I asked this before, and I'm going to ask it again. Let's see if you evade it or address the question: When I was 15, a pederast had taken to following me around town. He did it repeatedly and become more and more brazen in doing it. It scared me. Finally, one day, as he was following me, I began to beat him up. He fled and the behavior stopped. Was I "the aggressor," in that I struck the first physical blows? Is it ever reasonable for an individual to perceive someone else following them as a threat to their safety? Would you be making this same argument had Zimmermann's victim been a female who was being followed and who struck the first blows?
