That's their choice and good for them for standing up for what they believe. Personally, I would have gone out of respect for the office of The President.
Even more powerful is the team didn't get to go to the White House in the first place because Tricky Dick Nixon had his hands full with other issues at the time.
It's nice of Obama to do this - lucky for him that he doesn't have "his hands full with other issues".
I think it's silly to refuse to go to something like this. It's a team thing, not a personal thing - AND it's pretty special to get into the White House these days since they locked the doors to the Millions a year that made arrangements for the tours.
Their choice, it will make no difference one way or the other. I do hope they are at least smart enough to understand to include the Cons in those in need of a moral compass these days, playing Party over Nation is among the moral issues that need to be addressed in Washingtoon.
Agreed. Okay when my party does it, not okay when your party does it mentality. Except for the hand picked winners and losers there isn't much of a difference between the two parties.
Good for them..........good to see someone not fakin' and glad-handin'.
Love that quote!
Big deal. 3 out of 45 players chose not to go. That sounds about right. You can pick 45 people from any group in this entire Country, and you're bound to have three of them that turn out to be ignorant a$$h*les.

I respect the President who respects the office. This one clearly does not.
Keuchenberg is a whiny drama queen. He's a Notre Dame alum and a few years ago, he was whining to the press because Charlie Weis, the head coach at the time, didn't treat him the way he wanted. He's a putz.
Hey, here's a great idea.....
Let's find someone that isn't afraid to voice his convictions in public and then attack his character!
