haha, civilians are not required to 'salute' the US Flag. All that is required is for a person to stand at attention, while the National Anthem is sung, and to face the flag if one is displayed (so if that is the FLAG behind all of them, then ALL of those people on stage were in the "wrong"); its not required to place your hand over your heart either. it is suggested that you do.
Those in UNIFORM (military, police, etc) should give the Military Salute.
And its its disingenuous of the title of the video saying that "Obama" refuses to Salute the flag, since it isn't common practice for an ordinary citizen to do so.

What I find...remarkable...is that the mainstream "conservative" view isn't that you disagree with Obama's policies (which is good and fine, but remember that he won reelection a year ago on those policies, so more people support them than not). Instead, you believe that he's an evil mastermind who hates America, and won the presidency not once, but twice, just so he can purposefully destroy it from within. It's like Dr. Evil from an Austin Powers movie--all he needs to do is stick his pinkie in his mouth and laugh maniacally. If he had a mini me and a white jacket, he'd be set.
What I find equally remarkable, is that anyone who points out that it might not be the most rational point of view, is (I quote) a "dumb lib."

I didn't know as a candidate for President that you automatically become Commander in Chief. How do they work that out between the various candidates. Do they share the Commandership?
