No, it didn't.

Jeez, don't these "reporters" even read the decisions they are supposedly "reporting" on?

The USSC decision said the Feds could keep right on imposing pre-approval requirements on the states. They just had to use up-to-date data on who was being discriminatory, not the 50-year-old data they've been using until now.

Roberts gave Southern racists a lot in Shelby County, but he didn't give them everything.
Oops, thanks for showing the republican lie once again. When will they ever learn?

In Texas I might believe that some or many, but if it were most, it would probably be a blue state by now.

Also, with any party there is going to be multiple points of views and people wishing for their choice in representatives.

Regrettably, the right-wing media doesn't need any other tool. Many/most in their audience are either too stupid to know they are being lied to, or they simply don't care, since the lies fit in so nicely with their pathetic, twisted view of the country.

There's been lawsuits filed and the DOJ was asked to help.
It's gone further than just "wishing".

That's right. The DOJ has to prove discrimination with current data of which there is none.
Just open pending lawsuits right now.

But that is not proof IMHO.

Good to know, I don't have much interested vested in politics in San Antonio.

I don't think it's "good" at all.

The Dems need to be a cohesive group.
Why the infighting over ethnic representation.
That's discrimination.

Why do people now want "their own kind" rather than "their own party".
It just serves to further divide America.

Now it's the Dems that don't want "old White guys".

I'm not a Dem but Doggett is a pretty solid rep. He's consistent and does his best to represent his district.
He's not one that I'd throw under the bus. Now Sheila Jackson Lee is another story..

Good to know as in thank you for the information, I wasn't saying it was good or bad.

I don't know much about Doggett so I will take your word on it. I tend to be more interested in what a politician stands for rather than their race, though I do support sending more women and minorities to Congress to break up the old white guy collection they have going.

Default And in other news...

The R party ignores SCOTUS ruling, tries to override Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to choose.
