LOL, yep

Accepting lower standards of behavior for black people is a form of racism. Only a racist would say that black people are not capable of joining civilized society on an equal footing. Do blacks need lower standards because they are inferior people? This is the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Apparently Judicial Watch doesn't understand the Supreme Court's ruling. Section 2 of the the Voting Rights Act, which was not overturned, authorizes Federal Courts to act on cases of voting discrimination. Of course, the DOJ has to prove their case in a Federal Court.

Because the system includes structural impediments to securing ID that are biased against minorities.

I don't know much about Doggett so I will take your word on it. I tend to be more interested in what a politician stands for rather than their race, though I do support sending more women and minorities to Congress to break up the old white guy collection they have going.
Well getting the DOJ to help you form your own district isn't the right way to go about it.
Hispanics have a poor showing at the polls.

Rather than change district lines so that your race wins no matter how few turn out, the push should be on getting the voters to the polls to vote.

This is what is going on here.

For some reason the government thinks Blacks can't do this.
Getting a free ID is too hard for Blacks.

I'm not current on the changes in Texas, but a lot of the changes elsewhere are definitely not about making it easier for valid voters to vote.

I just keep up with Texas.

Free voter cards and plenty of public press about needing to get one by Nov elections.
Majority of people though don't bother with local elections so 2016 is when they will need them.

That's 3.5 years to get yourself into town to get a free ID.
And churches are offering free rides to do this.

Those that can't get their ID's in the next 3.5 years get no sympathy from me.

I would offer this up as the most racist and bigoted post of the day.

Black people are already a part of civilized society. There are no lower standards of behavior for black people.
