It's even more alarming how much they hate average Americans.

This is great news. Put some American workers back to work. How anyone could think that's a bad thing is beyond the pale.

sad but seemingly true...

if America were homogeneously 'white' many of these tea party types would magically turn very liberal!

they just don't want support/good wages/healthcare for those they consider below their station...

The unionized American auto worker killed the American automobile industry 30 years ago.

The American cars were junk.

Poor quality, drinking, smoking weed during breaks were the norm.

Unions protected them, but helped in destroying America's dominance.

Quality improved when the auto makers went to right to work states because there was accountability.

There is no accountability with unions.

The auto industry killed itself because the were used to not having to actually compete. Are the engineers unionized? What about the purchasing agents?

Funny, my old Chevrolet Celebrity built with union labor, lasted 310,000 miles. Besides, unions are not at fault. Who were at fault were the QA people and the leadership that demanded built-in obsolescence because of a lack of foreign competition. Unions had nothing to do with it. You build a high quality product, people WILL buy it, union or not

So the people on the line were responsible for the poor designs and short-sighted business decisions of upper management?

Really?

Lots of blame to go round. Certainly legacy costs, wages etc factor into the mix.

By the way, the Flat Rock facility also assembles the Mustang. Don't hear wingnuts complaining about bhow the Mustang is **** and falls apart after 10,000 miles I guess they preferred if the Fusion was built with more Mexican labor in Hermosillo
