Maybe Al Gore got it backwards. Maybe the rapid rise in man made CO2 during the past 17 years has stopped global warming. How else can you explain why global warming has stopped even after a huge increase in CO2 emissions with a record setting 400 ppm concentration?

If so, we have a much bigger problem than even Al Gore realized since global cooling would be much more devastating than global warming. I hate cold weather, so I think we should do everything possible to prevent a global cooling catastrophe.

"Remember that really scary “hockey stick” graph IPCC used to show that rising atmospheric CO2 concentrations would send global temperatures soaring? And recall all the ballyhoo about CO2 levels reaching a 400 ppm record high? Yet last February even IPCC’s chairman Rajenda Pachuri has admitted that world temperature data has been flat for the past 17 years. And that was after the British media reported that the UK Met Office was projecting a 20-year standstill in global warming by 2017."

It's cute the way denialists pretend op-eds in business magazines are scientific articles.

I like the way you denialists use words like "scary" and "terrifying". What emotionally fragile drama-queens people like you and James Inhofe are.

Alarmists drink every drop when coming from Al Gore regardless of what he says. Alarmists have told us for years about snow free winters in the UK and rising sea levels and increased hurricane activity, etc, etc.

Meanwhile, for the first time in 11 years there were no Atlantic hurricanes, warming has stopped and the UK still gets snow in the winter.

Duh!

The idiot leeches getting paid to support the AGW agenda didn't know that the ocean warms and cools? Are they so hell bent on their AGW agenda that they forgot to model the ocean impact? Do they not know that the earth's climate changes? Always has and always will.

And if big oil had an interest in being for carbon emission reduction, parrot CINO's would be whining in the other direction.

When the mainstream scientific community agrees with you then come back and post here. Otherwise, posting some OP-Ed really means nothing.

When global warming isn't happening... blame it on something else...

When global warming is happening... well its because of man-made CO2...

Global warming, your new feel-good religion...

Sort of like...

When something bad happens... its the devil...

When something good happens... its God...

Don't forget that it was forecasted years ago that the Arctic would be ice-free this year. Arctic sea ice is, in fact, 60% larger than it was last year.
