Your opinion on the abhorrent behavior of an adult touching in a sexual way, a child that cannot defend themselves nor comprehend what is occurring, no matter how slight the sexual advance seems is absolutely the most vile thing I have read on the internet in the past year.

SO are you actually condoning sexual contact with children as an adult?

You obviously have already made your mind up that what I said constitutes "condoning." I don't believe it does, but I hardly think it worthwhile to argue with you about it.

I don't think it may cause lasting harm either, but its still wrong if it does or does not. Under age children do not have developed brains and can not make choices based on right and wrong. At min. its taking advantage and at worst its harming them maybe both. I have no idea why anyone would say something like this. It diminishes his other work, I think he may wish he had not said it.

I guess a republican would have been riding that excuse for a life time. A man with no legs still has to go to work, unless he lets it consume his life. I think you have to let things go and move on at some point, its called life.

Im sure most of those teachers and priests represents both parties. I doubt profiles stick to one party preference.

P.S. We're talking about pedophilia which I think we can all agree is grotesque.
The point is that the left only supports freedom when it likes the freedom. Leftists are perfectly willing to restrict freedoms they don't like.

Personally I don't have a problem with porn, even though may social conservatives do. I'm not a social conservative. But then again, I also don't have a problem with handguns even though I don't own one. Whereas the liberal will say if you don't like porn then don't watch it, they will be perfectly willing to turn around and ban handguns. And yes handguns can be used to shoot people so they affect more than the person owning them. But then porn does the same thing - even if someone chooses not to look at porn themselves, they will still be living in a community where people around them do and thus will be forced to live with the effects. Porn shops aren't known for making a lovely area of town.

Why is anyone surprised by Dawkins on this? Most religions provide some basic moral foundation. Dawkins cannot make claim to a moral foundation other than one of his own invention. That is the beauty of Atheism, you get to be your own god, make your own rules and complain about the rules of others who adhere to some structured religion that has a set of standards even if some are "odd" (to be kind).

Dumb post. Atheists are just as moral/immoral as are believers - only atheists don't blame/credit the devil/god for whatever their inappropriate/appropriate behaviors might be.

Right, because religionists *never* do that.

I get the context and understand and have even more to add. Obviously every generation has had to deal with this crap but it's only in recent times that the process of outing and convicting someone for doing something we consider inappropriate (not only rape or molestation but other questionable touchy feely stuff) can and has done more damage to the children than the original action itself ever would have. Like it or not there are degrees.

Many among the psychiatric community are calling for pedophilia to be removed from the classification of a psychiatric disorder, while others in that same professional community want to eliminate the use of the term "pedophile" because ... get this ... it has become such a "negative" label, that they think the term "minor attracted person" is less prejudicial. There's even an organization run by members of the psychiatric community and others called "Be4Uact" which encourages pedophiles to come to them for counseling, while slyly informing them of what they "should not say" to their counselors so as to avoid such information being reported to authorities by law.

The reality is, there is a much larger underground movement of pedophiles than most people realize, yet it is quite well organized, and includes a significant number in positions of power .. politics, law enforcement, and the judicial.
You are of course correct like usual. The left just ignores what their buddies do then cheer it on when it's opposed because after all that is what they do. Hell they were born that way will be the battle cry in the next few years. It's not their fault it's those children wearing tight shorts or what have you. Complete perverse behavior and the left will defend it because........they defend what they are told to defend........the mob at work.
