She's the daughter of a man who was a WWII war hero fighting against the Japanese in the Pacific. And now she's going to be the United States ambassador to that country.
But if you need to get your little digs in and share your opinion of how a woman looks ....... I'm doubt you have any idea that she's about to write a remarkable codicil to the history of our country.

What on Earth could an Ambassador to JAPAN possibly achieve that's noteworthy? Are we at war with Japan? Is there some sort of animosity between us? Are we at odds over something i'm not aware of? When's the last time you heard of anything pertaining to the Ambassador to Japan?
She's not the sharpest knife in the drawer but certainly on par with the rest of this administration intellectually. Stupid is the new normal in D.C.

It's funny -- she gave that ridiculous speech at the DNC in support of Obama, then apparently turned on him in Edward Klein's book "The Amateur". Given how odd Obama is, he probably nominated her just to **** her off.

This nomination is a consolation prize. Caroline Kennedy is on record stating how much she dislikes Barack Obama. She has said on the record that she thinks he is a terrible leader. She has been very vocal in that regard behind the scenes. Barack has taken the track to keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. He doesn't like her blabber-mouthing about him in the Kennedy circles. So what does he do? Nominates her as an Ambassador.
And sends her just about as far away from the United States as it's possible to get.
In a country where Ted Kennedy could be elected for life, especially after Chappaquiddick, you're asking Americans to fall out of love with this clan?
I've just never understood the fascination with the Kennedys, whose family tree is littered with drug abusers, wife abusers, alcohol abusers, self abusers, sex abusers, and just general morons.
Perhaps the only family in the history of this country that makes the Kardashians seem polished.
