Even if Obama was born in Kenya, he would have still been able to run for president as his mother was a US citizen. This makes the whole birther movement a waste of energy. SMH
I obviously think that Obama was born in the U.S.
I also think that this idiotic natural-born citizen clause should be repealed.
That said, didn't U.S. law at the time of Obama's birth require at least one parent to have lived in the U.S. for at least five years after he/she turned 14 if he/she wanted to give birthright citizenship to his/her child who was not born in the U.S.? If so, then it is worth noting that Obama's mother was only 18 years old when she gave birth to him.

altho....... the 5year requirement was only for married mothers, for unwed mothers the requirement was just one year. there is the argument that the obama/dunham marriage may not have been legit since obama sr may not have been divorced from his first wife ( since obama was born in hawaii the argument is strictly hypothetical ).
The birther movement was taken from Hillary a long long long long long long time ago. It is owned by the right wing
Okay, so now we have the admission that it was started by the left, and Hillary supporters. What it has become isn't the topic, where it started is. Thanks for confirming the truth, albeit with deflection.

No such actual admission is possible, since it is an objective fact that that it was started by right wing bloggers and forum posts on Free Republic months before the first PUMA jumped on the bandwagon.
The documents themselves were VERY obviously doctored.
Actually, both the long and short forms are authentic documents that have bee examined and declared authentic by independent third party journalists.

You seem unclear on the concept. First and foremost, Obama doesn't have to prove anything. Under our legal system, it is the accuser that has the burden of proof. That would be you.
We've waited five years for you guys to meet that most simple of obligations. No such luck.

You apparently haven't the tiniest clue regarding diplomatic immunity. The families of foriegn officials do not have it.
Second, the US recognizes dual citizenship. So he could never have lost his US citizenship or needed to "reclaim it." No matter how many imaginary other citizenship for Obama that you pretend.
The fractal wrongness of birthers is breathtaking.

wow, you completely skipped over all the links on this thread pointing to the origin of birtherism coming from freerepublic on march 1, 2008 (before the PUMAs and phil berg's involvement ).
