He's a politician. No different than those who came before or will follow.

The party that holds the white house has to make a case for paying the bills and the other party gets to make a spectacle of it.

There's something creepy about politics being used to decide whether or not to pay the bills.

Indeed it is.

Only those who held the job can fully appreciate it.

Obama is the first President to serve in an era of robust social media. It's a game changer.

He was stupid in just 2006, he has been before that and after that too. He defines stupidity.

From Sen. Obama’s Floor Speech, March 20, 2006:

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

His tactic of not voting for an increase in the Debt Limit in 2006 was wrong, although I do support his efforts at returning to the pay go rules.

So Republicans threatening to not raise the debt ceiling unless their demands are met are stupid?

I have responded before, you just refuse to respond back.

closing your eyes is not the same as no one responding.

Open you eyes.
So if President Obama lied then, doesnt that mean Republicans are lying now

Yes it is. Now go back and review the job experience he had prior to being elected President of the United States.

Then go back and review his promises prior to being elected, his criticisms of the previous administration prior to being elected, some of his associations prior to being elected, some of his appointees after being elected.

And that, my friends, is why we are where we are right now. Politically. Racially. Financially. Morally. Internationally.

And don't forget - "raising our debt ceiling doesn't raise our debt".
