I can live with that.

Although personally, I am now and for many years have been in favor of a single-payer, Medicare-for-all kind of arrangement, rather than a bunch of private insurance companies operating throughout the country. I think it would have been a far better system.

But Obamacare is the law of the land. So be it. Once the GOP starts acting their age (i.e., no more holding their breath until their faces turn blue), it is my sincere hope that our elected officials in Washington can work to improve the Affordable Care Act. Other major legislative acts - like Social Security and Medicare - have been revised and improved many times. The Affordable Care Act should be no different.

It's the "law of the land" except when King Obama decides he doesn't want to enforce certain parts of the legislation.

You liberals must be so proud of your tinpot dictator.

And why should the Republicans be interested in "revising and improving" the ACA when King Obama and the Democrats purposefully shut them out of all negotiations over the bills and passed it in the dark of night amidst bribes and kickbacks, without even reading it.

You liberals don't beleive any rules apply to your side, yet the other side is supposed to play nice and do everything your way. I'm so tired of the left wing hypocrites in office, not to mention those who blindly support them.

The US Treasury stands to make a lot of money off the interest accumulated from not paying salaries and etc.

Social Security will be paid and the military will be paid. They are such alarmists.

I'm watching CSPAN and these dems need to serve some cheese with their whine.

Ummm, except there weren't any parts IN it, that defunded Obamacare or anything else. Obamacare (or the ACA or anything similar) was never mentioned, anywhere in the bill. The bill simply named everything that was funded last year, and said it was hereby funded this next year too. Find it here: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-1...3hjres59eh.pdf
I need to bookmark this thread, and come back to it whenever I need a really good laugh.

Ask the liberals who always call Harrier by that moniker.

Harrier set his status as such to irritate those who irrationally hate him.

Yeah, it's obvious the complete bill was not read, or if it was, it was not completely understood. The GOP came up with a bill that funds the government, but it was anything BUT a "clean" bill. It's just their latest cowardly attempt to remove a law ... something that was passed by both the House and Senate, was signed by the President, and was found to be constitutional by the Supreme Court.
It is clean. Clean doesn't mean that it does what you want it to do. Clean means it isn't pull of pork and amendments.

And I say "cowardly" because the GOP has to try and hide it, buried in a bill that would otherwise likely be approved across the board.
Nothing was hidden. The GOP made no secret of the fact that they were funding everything but Obamacare. That was the point of the bill. To say they were hiding it in a cowardly manner is either mistaken or dishonest.

What Harrier doesn't realize is that for most of us, it's more like admitting the truth about who Harrier is. HeyJude applauds Harrier for finally become self-aware.
