Following by example they only can muster "Present" votes. Is there anything any more cowardly and pathetic? First they Table CC&B and now they vote a "present" hoping their votes won't be used against them.

To play the correct video go to the 2nd one in the line-up. Roll call has not yet been posted on the Senate website.

The Senate Democrats lack the courage and conviction required for fiscal responsibility.

House Republicans should now sit on their hands and wait for a plan that passes vote in the Senate.

The Dems are a disgrace, they simply won't compromise. I have no idea why they are for default.

The Dems won't compromise? McConnell was asked by Reid to come and negotiate with him. McConnel said, no, I will not negotiate with you.
You guys are so naive.

Lol, the Dems had a chance to vote on a bill opposed by the right but decided not to. The modern Dem party is so out of it, they vote with the far right of the Republican party.

What bill would that be? The one with the requirement for a Constitutional Amendment in 3 days, that no sane person in their right might would claim is responsible? Even CNN pointed out that Boehner passed his bill with no intention of getting it passed in the Senate. It was a political move.

And incidently, the House tabeled Reid's bill too. A Constitutional Amendment requirement this close to the deadline is not a compromise. It's holding the Democrats and economy hostage.

I'm surprised they didn't all get in their cars and go to a hotel in another state.

Isn't that what Dems do when they don't like what they are voting on ?
(think TX and WI).

Don't be ridiculous, Reid had no intention of allowing the Dems to vote for this constitutional amendment language or not. All this did was require a vote, is Reid that afraid to have his members vote down a constitutional amendment? I guess the answer is obvious. Reid is a coward.
