Did I appear to care? You asked question I answered, now you twist it? Am I surprised? No, that's how a liberal loon thinks. They are all over the place.

If he's a veteran he's covered by the VA since he's paid for his healthcare already, thanks for playing.

Since you're such a smarty-pants, why don't you go back to your history books and tell us when the US economy was at its strongest.

Then tell us what income-tax rates were like then.

Go on. We'll wait.

The military is an inherently socialist enterprise. The government takes money from everyone to pay the salaries and benefits. The mechanics of the funding and payments are very similar to welfare, food stamps or any other government income redistribution scheme.

You know who have a hard time holding onto a job and taking care of themselves? Sick people. They also (used to) have an impossible time of getting health insurance, try as they might, once they recover.

Maintenance medication? Not without insurance.
Insurance? Not if you currently need maintenance medication. Pre-existing condition.
Job? Can't hold down a job w/o medication.
Oh, and getting a job means you're not poor enough to qualify for aid, anyway.

If the PPACA did nothing but release people from that vicious circle, it would be worthwhile.

But this thread is full of people who got theirs (or think they do - most medical bankruptcies happen to insured people), and so why should they give a sh.t? Those sick people probably did something to deserve it.

And if he weren't? He should just die in the gutter like an animal, right?

I think a lot of people are going to be very, very surprised when a lot of other people suddenly wake up and realize they're no longer shackled to jobs they hate because they need the health insurance.

The linkage between "non-self" employment and health insurance is an anachronism whose demise is long, long overdue.

WHich is one of the reason the Koch-s.ckers hate it - it's less leverage for employers over their employees. Can't have that. They might get uppity.

Wrong, the military train and work hard. Welfare, well, they work hard swinging on the porch. Serving is something to be proud of, leaches, losers, not so much

Don't INSULT our military by even attempting to compare.
