Thank you, Mr President!

To be fair, in a debate with Romney, Mitt lamented how much gas prices had gone up since Obama became President. President Obama's rebuttal was that the reason gas prices was so low under Bush was because a weak economy lowered the demand for gas. He actually was correct. Falling demand does lower prices. There is also a correlation between the value of the dollar and gas prices. If the value of the dollar is falling you can usually bet that gas prices are rising. Tensions in the Middle East also impacts gas prices and now that the US is talking with Iran and it looks like an attack on Syria is off the table, I am sure that has calmed speculators. Thus US has also increased oil production from oil shale.

My answer......ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Of course there are multiple factors influencing fuel prices.

But RWNJ Obamaphobes are SO quick to come on here and whine incessantly about high gas prices, laying blame on the president.

This thread has been a fun exposure of their deep seated hypocrisy when they fail to give the man credit when those prices plummet like they have recently.

They use the same psycho "logic" to discredit his success vs terrorism.

Obamaphobia disturbs them to the core of their existence.

the CEO of Pioneer Oil said last night on Mad Money that oil will be profitable above 85$ a barrel. That is high.

With the reports that the US is producing record number oil, begs to ask, where is all that oil going?

the fact is "America" does not own the oil, oil producers do. They sell their product to the higher bidder.

there is no benevolent oil producer selling oil at cost to American refiners for lower fuel prices.

And when the fuel prices skyrocket again (and you can bet that they will) you will of course not put any blame on Obama. He is only responsible when they lower, right?

When terrorism acts get larger and more common (and they will) it will not be Obamas fault, right? He is only responsible when they seem curtailed, right?

Can you say enormous hypocrite? That is what you are after all.

Nope.

He's a huge improvement over his predecessor.
Again, your opinion. You know what they say about opinions, right? In your case it is spot on.

A couple of months ago, this forum was full of posts from RWNJs griping
about gas prices and laying the blame on the president. It would be
hypocritical of the right to now ignore the significant drop in those prices.
It would also be hypocritical to disavow the earlier linkage for hyperpartisan
convenience.
You saying that something is hypocritical is hilarious! Your posts are the definition of hypocritical writing. So much so that you don't even realize that you expose yourself with every word.

Once again, if you claim that Obama was not responsible for the increases, exactly how do you justify your stance that he is responsible for the (temporary) reductions?

Think hard before answering and try to find some truth, if you can.

Obama's done a good job as president. A particularly sharp contrast to his
predecessor.

Mindless, you say...

Once again, your biased opinion and refusal to assign blame where it belongs.

Good little obamabot.

Has the shutdown stopped the constant email of talking points to you? You keep repeating the same phrase over and over. In doing so, you reduce the number of people who even consider it to be partially true, as it come from Dear Leader.

A little originality would be a nice change of pace, if you can.
