By that logic, one could equally "round up" to white.

Why would Harrier do that?

Harrier has been an ardent advocate on this forum of the fact that President Obama was born in Honolulu, HI, and is therefore eligible to be U.S. president, if not qualified.

Please don't dredge up the nutty birther nonsense again.

Doesn't President Obama support all the gubbermint programs that you "people" participate in. Most of you have your hands do deep in the gubbermint pockets that you cant take them out. Anyobody ever met a Tea Partier who doesn't benefit from at least two gubbermint programs??

What I mean is that if you look black, can you call yourself white? Vice-versa. Yeah, you might have some blood of one or the other, but if you look one way, are you not essentially that of which you look like? Take for instance those 1/16 Cherokee blood "natives" that are predominantly of European blood who look European. They're not Native American, they're white, wouldn't you say?

I don't really care, to me hes just an American.

Harrier is a conservative, and is not a racist.

Harrier has been vocally opposed to racism on this forum.

Racism is abhorrent, and anyone who subscribes to racism should be ashamed of themselves.

True.

However, many liberals assign much importance to his skin color.

Harrier wants to know why.

Gee, let's see. When I look at Obama, I see a black man. Not white. Are all of you blind?

Why are conservatives obsessed with his race?
