And he is correct.

Dr. Ben Carson slammed President Barack Obama’s signature health care during his speech at the Value Voter’s Summit Friday.

“Obamacare is really, I think, the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery,” Carson declared. “It is slavery in a way because it is making all of us subservient to the government.”

Carson said the implementation of the Affordable Care Act was never about health care, only control.

If that was the case, then Cons would be supporting it.

It's silly that people are criticle of Obamacare when it just got started last week. Let's give it a year at least then evaluate it.

Socialized medicine doesn't equate to a socialist state. The U.S has socialized medicine with medicare and the U.S isn't a socialist state. The UK has socialized medicine and isn't a socialist state. Canada has single payer and isn't a socialist state.

There is no bottom line for the government..private business have a bottom line and have to run efficiently. The government is run on the peoples' credit card and answers to no one.. They have cost overruns because they have a blank check written by the people.. and every year they get bigger .

I like Dr. Carson. He is a man who is easy to respect. Self made with a common sense approach to problems. I don't know that ACA is the worst thing since slavery. What I do know is that no one knows what I need more than I do. I know that the Fed can not spend my money more wisely than I can. I do know that the Fed can't live within its means. I do know that a career politician is a professional liar. Who in their right mind would take the word of a professional liar? At the very least they misrepresent the facts.
You can buy insurance for the same cost as your cable bill? You can buy your family coverage for the cost of your cell phone bill? I should trust someone who would so grossly misrepresent the facts just to sell
an unpopular law?
What amazes me is that anyone believes a word that comes out of Obama's mouth.

Providing the uninsured with health insurance is slavery? What a warped viewpoint.

Hyperbole much?

Ben Carson is a genius physician but just because he's good at one thing doesn't mean he'll be good at everything. Politics is a different beast. He's already stepped in the deep-deep at least once this year. He should not get involved in this messy world, where he's just another guy, not the lord of the operating room.

Forcing others to pay for it via a bloated bureaucracy might be the point he is making. Forcing people to buy a product by act of law?
What is warped is passing a law for the masses that exempts those who passed it.

It seems not to have occurred to you that EVERY person in politics is "just another guy" (or gal).

And, given their track record, I'd have to say that the vast majority must be astoundingly incompetent.
