The answer is that Obamacare wasn’t designed to help healthy people with average incomes get health insurance. It was designed to force those people to pay more for coverage, in order to subsidize insurance for people with incomes near the poverty line, and those with chronic or costly medical conditions.

As the article says:

"If the “Affordable Care Act” truly did make health insurance more affordable, there would be no need to hide these prices from the public."

Why did ANYONE think this "Act" would lead to lower healthcare costs? It was drafted behind closed doors with BigPharma, BigInsurance, and BigMedical at the table.

Where was BigTaxpayer, you say?

You mean our president -- who PROMISED to be the mostest, bestest, awesomest transparentest administration in the history of the universe -- didn't invite us to the table?

Whoa, allow me to put on my shocked face.

Lower healthcare costs? A lot of people thought it was free healthcare because of the way Obama and the Democrats sold this monstrosity. You betcha this administration wants to hide the prices. And these are just the opening prices...what's going to happen in 2-3 years?

You Democrats are ruining the best healthcare system in the world and you're proud of this mess.

I do wonder if the racist liberals and independent supporters will continue to give the lunatic in the White House a pass. My gut tells me the 2014 elections are going to be much different than the message the Obama Media Group is spreading right now.

Clinton was rejected before, she will be rejected again... she couldn't debate if her life depended on it... she will get destroyed on national TV... what is that about 3 AM answering the phone and then Benghazi?

That's true. It was just last month that the "free" word was taken off of healthcare.shove....err, .gov

I can only imagine when the "introductory" prices expire -- it's not like they are going to drop by 30%, that's for sure.

Is it just me, or does everyone feel that the average voter is dumber than a Kardashian?

Drafted behind closed doors with Democrats, BigPharma, BigInsurance, and BigMedical at the table. Democrats love tax revenue so they don't want people to be able to afford it so companies and people will pay the fine. If they can afford it BigPharma etc gets more money. A winner for all involved in getting it done behind closed door. They kept republicans out because they knew republicans would call them on it.
