Almost 60 percent of all Americans (dependents included) get 100 percent of their income from government (federal, state and local): as workers, Social Security and SSI recipients, other pension beneficiaries and general assistance. The American State, as paymaster to so many people, has created a class of servants.
No matter which partisan political party you embrace, if you're part of the growing recipient class, your self interest will drive the nation to collapse.

Toll roads (God, I hate Illinois), stadiums, skate parks, dog parks, banks (North Dakota's state bank has been sitting on a fortune for a long time)...off the top of my head. There are many more.

I can tell you as a TRAINER, I produce trained special operations soldiers and operators

what do you produce???

I can also tell you that in the private sector...I would make at least 50% more....but being a retired army combat veteran, I would rather use my knowledge and skill set to train other soldiers

most government employees (the average worker is gs7-gs11) are UNDERPAID...the union (which most are not, has NOTHING to do with salery...salery is set and raised by congress...and has been FROZEN for the last 2 years....governemt employees are paid LESS than their civilian counterparts

example :

Staff training coordinator aka Staff operations and trainging specialist aka training analyst:

for the federal government a gs9(step1) to gs11(step10(20 years on the job)) pays 47k-74k...and that INCLUDES locality.... https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/307852000

in the civilian world the average salary is 63k with a range 53k to 87k

Fehb (health insurance) is the same as any other worker for civilian companies
tsp (401k) is also the same as any other company that offers it,,

the federal health plan is the LOWEST plan available...example the AETNA gov plan has HIGHER co-pays and less benies than the STANDARD AETNA

and the government worker STILL PAYs THE PREMIUM out of your check EVERY PAY PERIOD

Federal Employees Paid A Quarter Less Than The Private Sector: BLS ..... .........government-employees-23-percent-less-private-sector

End the stupid wars and you wouldn't need as many soldiers. Maybe then you'd have to find a private sector job.

Ever notice how the collapse is inevitable every time the Democrats win an election? (like 2006, or 2008, or 2012)

Or that the collapse is inevitable every time the Democrats win a legislative battle? (like passing the Affordable Care Act in 2009, or shutdown-a-palooza just now)

Or that the collapse is inevitable every time a Supreme Court ruling comes down that favors the left? (like 2012, Affordable Care Act)

LOL!!! Toll roads produce nothing.

Stadiums produce nothing.

Skate parks produce nothing.
Dog parks produce nothing.

Banks produce nothing.

Try again. I think you fail to comprehend what "produce" means. Here's a hint; it has NOTHING to do with taking money from people.

Oh, and the tollways suck. They might be the best roads in Illinois... But in the overall scheme of things, they are atrocious in cost, and substandard at best.
