Both Democrats and Republicans: Make me sick. Time for a third party, perhaps the common sense party.
Received this from an email and wanted to share will all here.
Say, "We're broke"
And can't help our own
Seniors,
Veterans,
Orphans,
Homeless,
Etc.,?????
But, over the last several years THEY
have provided direct cash aid to.....
Hamas - $351 M,
Libya $1.45 B,
Egypt - $397 M,
Mexico - $622 M,
Russia - $380 M,
Haiti - $1.4 B,
Jordan - $463 M,
Kenya - $816 M,
Sudan - $870 M,
Nigeria - $456 M,
Uganda - $451 M,
Congo - $359 M,
Ethiopia - $981 M,
Pakistan - $2 B,
South Africa - $566 M,
Senegal - $698 M,
Mozambique - $404 M,
Zambia - $331 M,
Kazakhstan - $304 M,
Iraq - $1.08 B,
Tanzania - $554 M,
...with literally Billions of Dollars
and they still hate us!!!!
But on the other hand,
Our retired seniors,
Living on a 'fixed income,'
Receive NO aid!
Nor do they get any breaks,
while our government
And religious organizations will pour
Hundreds of Billions
Of $$$$$$'s and
Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!

Both democrats and republican make you sick because both parties are working against the people. In reality, the democrats and republicans are secretly working together to divide the people ... divide and conquer. We don't need another party. We need to eliminate political parties. Politicians must work for the people and not join forces.
I suggest two things. 1. Don't rely upon forwarded emails as a source of information.
2. Before starting a thread, know what you are writing about.
The u.s. budget is about $4 trillion. Of that, $40 billion is foreign aid -- much of which is credits to buy American goods.
Cutting out all foreign aid doesn't make a dent in the budget outlay.
Because helping 1 person overseas makes more sense than helping 1 person here. Do you think before you type?
When does it become too much? 50 billion? 60 billion? How about 1 dollar. Where in the constitution does it say that we give foreign countries my money? Must be nice to take 40 billion and say it's a small percentage. That speaks volumes but you still don't get it.
Yes lets listen to people like you. That way we can slowly be bled to death and not notice.
Truth be told, a legitimate two-party system would be fine. Right now, the Dems and Reps are more alike than they are different. They share the same mission - gain and maintain power. That is the primary strand of DNA that both parties share. The differences are on the fringes of importance - they are not driven by ideology.
In terms of spending, he federal government is a big insurance company with an army. Most spending is in five areas, Soci Security, Medicare, Medicaid, defense and interest on the debt.

I don't often agree with MTA but he's right on this, although I would characterize the government programs more as redistribution than insurance considering the highly lopsided distribution of risk and massively good/poor value certain people who either don't contribute or can't opt out respectively get. A large chunk of the remainder is also for smaller welfare/social-insurance programs (depending on which way you look at it).

Add all that foreign aid up and it isn't chickenfeed and imagine how much more could go to help our own citizens without donating all those monies to foreign countries.
But then some people put foreigners above our own citizens including those here illegally.

I say cut it all off. Don't send them another DAMN DIME!!! If they have a problem with it, to effin' bad! Try to do something about it! We have our own problems to deal with here.
