Obamacare is basically an attempt by govt to take money from some people and give it to others.

Younger people who don't need much medical care, are getting stuck bigtime, to pay for older people who do need more.

If it were voluntary (as genuine insurance is), that would be acceptable. But making it mandatory, reduces it to simple theft, and distribution of stolen goods.

You keep avoiding my question:

What is your educational background and what organization employs or sponsors you?

40% co-pay, $4,000 deductible here in Chicago for a Bronze plan.

I have long thought those high-deductible policies were a "pig-in-a-poke".
Why on earth are they such an integral part of Obamacare? Those who can least afford it are slammed with very high Obamacare deductibles.

By your chart it is mostly red states that are paying the most. also it is ironic that those same red states choose to let the federal government deal with it rather than put together their own plans like the blue states.

Oh, that's right Bankruptcy.
Yep. We're right back where we started. But now, people (on average) will be paying a lot more for insurance and health care.

And they'll have all next year up to November 4th to stew on that.

Flat-out denying the Republicans' request for a year's delay for the Obamacare individual mandate may very well be one of the dumbest things Obama, Reid, and the Dems have ever done.

And lets get real. The non ACA plans were comprehensive major medical with a $7000 deductible HSA. My premiums were around $10000 for 2013 with a $7000 deductible. So I know my max out of pocket cost would be $17000.

For 2014. I am looking at close to 14000 in premiums with a $7000 deductible. Or $10000 in premiums with a $12000 deductible.

Essentially a 40% increase n

And why is there subsidy for 399% of poverty and none for 401% of poverty. That means u make $500 less the government will kick u back $5000 in subsidies vs the guy who makes $500 more. Unbelievable.

So much for "fair".

Really? Obama and Reid shut down the government just this month because Obama adamantly refused to delay it.

First off, who says the high d plans are an integral part of Obamacare? Please provide a link.

Secondly, I have participated in threads like this for many years, including prior to Ocare. The more conservative Rs have rampaged for that entire time about how people should pay their own bills, "personal responsibility", ask why any service other than hospitalization is even covered, yada, yada. Now, they have the opportunity to buy such plans, with the added perk of covered physical exams and preventive care, and they're shrieking about that? Doesn't make sense.
