Ok im going to be 18 on the 25th and this is not something I look forward to happening when im out on my own. I just seen this commercial advertising this website endofamerica63.com and when you go to the website there is a video on there talking about how we live in America might soon come to an end. It relates to the 2008 recession but says it's only the beginning.
What are your thoughts on this??? Do you think it's something we should be worried about or is it just some BS???
I don't know what is "real," but I can advise you not to live in fear. Life your life with optimism - "follow your bliss," as Joseph Campbell said . . . do what you came here to do, whatever that is. Worrying about rumors and conspiracy theories is a gigantic waste of time and it WILL make you miserable . . .
Go out and live life - have fun and be productive.
Also, trust your instinct - "keep your own counsel" - don't look to other people to tell you what is "real or BS"- you have your own BS detector - use it!

I watched the video, I've heard similar BS for decades.
The guy who did that video had some serious issues with the SEC, not exactly the most trustworthy individual. Not to say that there are not some truths to what he is saying regarding a devalued dollar, but I certainly wouldnt put a ton of trust in him.

May as well run up your credit cards and take out as many loans as possible and enjoy what time this country has left. When it comes crashing down under the mountain of debt it won't be pretty. Government does it may as well join in as they're setting the example we should live by I guess.

They keep changing the link, but I saw the video. It was so long, I couldn't believe I sat through the whole thing. The reason that I did, was the information given as to our economic history was very educational.
It is true that countries are wanting their gold back. (that part I remember and I pay attention to)
The main objective to the presentation though is to change a person portfolio and to go with that company in particular to help manage one's investments. However, when S*it hits the can though I'm not sure there is anything the average joe is going to be to do.
I have children that are just a few years older than you. I have expressed there is a need for them to learn how to do somethings just a wee bit different. They have me on ignore on that topic. All I can say (to myself) at that point is...I hate it for 'em.
There is going to come a time when that the dollar bill in your hip pocket is not going to be worth the paper it is printed on. (as if it is now) Make a plan now as to how you will live. Put it away and hope like all...that you never have to use it.
