Barak Obama was supposed to bring about a new level of respect for the USA. He was supposed to correct the tarnished image of America.

sigh.

No, it was private until the NSA stole it. What Snowden did was expose the fact that it was stolen.

So tell us which national security operations you would like made public. I'm not saying we should have been eavesdropping on anyone's phone, but don't conflate Obama's wish for transparent government with divulging security secrets. That's asinine.
Bold: Does not exist. Never did exist. He is the opposite.

Good point. We should be outraged but the media carries the water to most in this country and they are silent so the country is too. Government really screwed up big time here. Of course Obama will blame Snowden but the NSA just has gotten completely out of control.

Yeah, makes for good relations with the US and other countries.

They probably should have taken it with a grain of salt, the same way Obama does with China hacking into US government agencies. I believe when he met with the president of China he had some pretty strong words for him.

Something like: Stop hacking US government agencies.................please.............pretty please???

Our enemies no longer fear or respect us and now our friends don't. Nice going Obama. And yet another broken promise.
