How many of those kids were shot by law enforcement officers?
I know there was at least one who was shot because he was carrying toy guns, but exactly how many?
The statistic is meaningless if it isn't broken down by gang violence, law enforcement shootings, and accident.
But then, it would not be horrific enough for the gun haters.

Default News, US Child Gun Deaths Rose 60% in 10 Years.

But of course they have, but, traffic deaths have risen, and everything statistics are kept on has risen too, it's statistically impossible to lower the stats of one thing or another knowing that there is population growth.

I'll bet there are more auto thefts today than there were in 1947.

Gun ownership itself is on the rise thanks to all the demagoguery from lawmakers

According to this study majority of children who are killed by firearms are killed in their own homes. Accidents do happen.

According to a report filed by the Washington State Department of Social
Health Services

, a child or teen is killed once every seven and a half hours with a gun, either by accident or by suicide. In 72 percent of these cases, the firearm used was housed in the victim’s own
residence

If they did actually rise it is because the average gang memeber is 15 yrs old.... by definition, a child.

Gangs, in case you don't know, are the source of violent crime as they defend their drug territories and shoot each other and bystanders, who are often chidren, because they felt dissed or had the wrong color shirt.

A 14 yr old gang member shooting a 15 year old gang member constitutes the statistics which are included in childrens deaths by firearms.

If you are so oblivious as to the source of violence and its solution that you go after firearm ownership, you must enjoy citing statistics to further your political agenda at cost of an unacceptable human toll taken by violent hearts. "Worry about what is in a man's heart and not his hands."

So how do you fix a violent heart.... by sacrificing someone else's freedom in hope that the gods will look favorably on that sacrifice and mend those disfigured hearts.

Actually (factually), no: In 72 percent of these cases, the firearm used was housed in the victim’s own residence.

Of course gang violence is also a problem, so we have two problems, intentional killings, and unintentional killings. You would think the unintentional ones would be easier to reduce. Safety courses would help, and maybe schools would teach kids to not play with guns if they find them at home.

When a kid gets shot in their own home, it's more parental negligence than an accident.

Perhaps you should spend more time doing research rather than requesting others to spoonfeed you.

Like all other liberal based statistics not based on truth .Kind of like Unemployment stats , not on those that have run out of unemployment and are still with out work, or those that have taken part time jobs that don't pay enough to live on as they once had before. The media is making a big deal out of shootings because it divides the country, what other reason could it posiby serve ? and people are abusing the oppurtunity for some fame just exactly the same as the watts riots. and the dems are not letting any thing go to waste,
