This whole ACA is nothing more than a political stunt to them that they "won" on and enjoy pushing on Republican's faces. It's nothing more than that. If liberals cared about costs or quality of care, they would've passed a bill that did that when they had both houses and the white house. The only thing this is intended to do is destroy the insurance companies by burdening them with more regulatory costs.

Democrats/liberals don't care about people, but only scoring points. Not a single Democrat here, nor anywhere has addressed how this will decrease costs or how quality of care is improved. In fact, no one on here has read the entire bill and it's been, what?, 3 years.

You improve the health of people in this country and decrease costs, first and foremost, by instilling personal responsibility in people to exercise and eat healthy food, which this bill doesn't do.

So liberals, congrats on your political victory over the GOP. Let me know how this is decreasing aggregate costs and improving quality of care and I'll admit I'm wrong.

Obviously nothing democrats have ever done has helped anyone. Social security, Medicare/ Medicaid, civil rights, food stamps, CHIP, womens sufferage, obamacare, and more never helped anyone ever. Liberals were made by giant space llamas for the sole purpose of tormenting conservatives.

Thank you so much for showing me how Obama care has improved the quality of care and lowered aggregate medical costs.

Ambulatory patient services (outpatient care you get without being admitted to a hospital)
Emergency services Hospitalization (such as surgery)
Maternity and newborn care (care before and after your baby is born)
Mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment (this includes counseling and psychotherapy)
Prescription drugs
Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices (services and devices to help people with injuries, disabilities, or chronic conditions gain or recover mental and physical skills)
Laboratory services Preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management
Pediatric services

...are all now mandatory serivices for insurance companies to provide as opposed to junk insurance, which was all that many could afford, which was really a no insurance rip-off scam. Yeah Liberal policies really hate on people especially the ones with pre-existing conditions.

FYI, the ACA is a conservative idea that we tried to pass as a countermeasure to Hillarycare in the 90's. Thus, making this a democratic issue doesn't make sense. I haven't see anyone throwing it in our faces. The tea baggers in Congress have tried to repeal the law something like 40 times, so I think you could easily argue that the opposite was true.

Lumping in every conservative or every liberal as thinking all the same is stupid. Nobody is part of some hive mind.

Personal responsibility, while a great objective, doesn't stop people from getting cancer. I don't think that decreasing aggregate cost or improving care itself were objectives of the law. It was more to have people who were leeching off of the system pay their own way, stop insurance companies from dumping patients when they actually get sick and greatly reduce the number of uninsured people.

You might want to read up some before you post here. You don't seem to have a solid grasp on the issues.

- You haven't read the bill after 3 years (I have, it's part of my job...so you were wrong no one read it).
- CMS has shown declining costs since 2011, which I have posted for you as well as a number of others...and you haven't looked at either. Quality is a bit harder since all that portion is brand new. Demanding instant data for what takes years to collect is not something a rational person does.
- There have been many threads posting facts pro and con about it on C-D. You may disagree, but they are there.

If your only position is to stick your fingers in your ears and pretend like everything you disagree with doesn't exist...why should anyone take you seriously? If you work hard at being as ignorant as possible about Obamacare, and claim your ignorance means that it doesn't work, that's outright willful ignorance.

Quite frankly, if you ware going to do silly things people are going to treat you like a loon. If you don't want that, stop acting like one. People will be around when you actually care enough to have a serious conversation and even bother to glace at what you disagree with. Till then, you won't be taken seriously.
